This is from NFLDraftCountdown.com

Strengths: Has excellent size...Has a big league arm and can make all the throws...Top natural athletic ability...Can run and scramble a little...Solid character and a hard worker...Still has a lot of upside and potential and may have turned the corner in 2004.

Weaknesses: Has been very inconsistent throughout his career...Doesn't read defenses well...Holds onto the ball too long and doesn't have a great feel for the pass rush...Makes poor decisions...Has to work on his technique and mechanics...Was aided by a tremendous running attack and great defense.

Yep, Ramsey has a big league arm, he's got the character, has potential...

Ramsey is also inconsistent, strugles at reading defenses, holds ball too long, poor decisions, and has bad technique and mechanics...

What I'm saying is Jason Campbell and Patrick Ramsey seem like the exact same type of QB, give or take a little.

Just another reason why we won't be drafting Campbell......

Why have one Ramsey when you can have two Ramseys?

I think it's a height, mobility, and decision making thing.

Also, not that this matters to some, but what was Ramsey's record his senior season at Tulane. And what was Campbell's record last year. I think you'll notice a BIG difference.

He seems like a better scrambler and better decision making skills.

And what was Cambell's record before last year? I don't suppose two potentially top ten franchise RB's had anything to do with Cambell's success. Also, I'm sure a dominant Auburn defense had nothing to do with Cambell's performance. Contrast that to Ramsey's supporting cast and his offensive line at Tulane. Cambell's role was to hand the ball off and not make stupid decisions. I think he is underdeveloped as a passer and needs several years before he is a starter. It makes absolutely no sense for us to draft a project QB in the first round when we need WR, DBs, and DL help.

No one said we were going to draft Campbell but the media people. Who listens to media?? We all know they very rarely know what they are talking about especially Leadbelly.

If Campbell's role was to hand off and not make stupid decisions he was the best ever at it as his numbers rivaled any QB in the nation last year.

Too many times these "scouting reports" are just bastardized, hearsay derivations of what this guy heard from that guy heard from that guy. Especially if one thinks that the running game made him. Anyone watching Auburn play last year realizes that it was Campbell & Borges that made that team go.

Campbell can read defenses. It was obvious he was going through his progressions a lot last year. Campbell is also very mobile and can make plays on the move. Campbell had those franchise RB's for 3 other seasons and still completed over 60% of passes. Last year was his only year in an offense of any real depth.

I agree 100%, do skins fans feel as if P. R. is that bad, I mean gimme a break man, I think Jason Campbell is great, but unless he's takin' Ramsey's spot...DON'T DRAFT!!!
