I know Kwame was a bust in DC but I've watched him a couple of times now this season for LA and he fills a good role for them. He may never live up to all the first pick hype but it seems apparent that he's a good role player for them. Boards, defensive presence (sometimes) and a few odds and ends buckets. It's a shame he didn't want to work here.

I will hate.

#1 overall picks aren't supposed to be "role players". I'll agree he may fill a nice role for them, and thats peachy keen and makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, but the fact is he hasn't lived up to expectations and at this rate never will.

I thought he played like ****, personally.

Any way you look at it, we still got the better of the deal. Kwame is, at best, a decent bench player. So we traded away one decent bench player and got two back.

He sucks. Wizards win.

He should have never been a #1 pick. Who's pick was he? Some idiot who's not around anymore.

oh, and wizards win? You mean lose again. Ridiculous.

Wizards win in the trade, numbskull.

And he was Michael Jordan's pick. Not your average "idiot".

We knew he was a project coming in, but no one thought he'd still be a project 4 years later. Think he'd have shown some progression now.

Oh well, not our problem anymore.

I was watching ESPN NBA breakdown the other night and all of the 5-6 hosts were all playing GM for teams and posting hypothetical trade offers for Ron Artest. When the guy who played the Lakers GM offered Kwame, the others were all like "hell no!" and were busting up laughing. They were all saying that he has a big contract now and is a bust that nobody wants.

The Lakers really rolled the dice by giving up Butler. He was their only trade bait beyond their nucleus of Kobe and Odom. They fully expected Kwame to step into the PF role this year and average 12-14 pts and 7-8 rebs. They saw the potential that Kwame had shown in his random huge games, and thought they could tap that potential by giving him starters minutes and a less pressured role with Kobe being relied upon for the majority of the offense. It has not worked out the way they hoped, and the rest of the league seems to agree that he is a big contract bust. The disrespect shown by all the hosts on the ESPN show was strong evidence.

Lastly, Caron is #2 in the league for 6th man scoring at 15 pts/gm and is also hitting 87% of his FT's. And he is only 25 years old. The Wiz made out very well on this trade and will continue to do so.

I am going to continue to hate on him, because he is lazy, he has no heart, and he lies to coaches.

MJordan: Hall of fame player, bozo in the front office. Where is he now?

No doubt. Getting Caron is a major upgrade but we lost four years. Kwame: Bad draft choice. Can't go back. Go forward. Unfortunately this team took two steps forward last year and one step back this year. Daniels, Atkins: bust
Bigs: bust
Coach: don't get me started.

Even with our personnel we should have a better record at this point. Someone's fault. Whose?

Kwame: Good luck dude, but glad you're not here.

It's funny, all this gloating about ripping off the Lakers and which team is winning right now? Oh yeah, the Lakers. Fire EJ!

I don't think MJ was that bad of a front office man. IMO, he wasn't even around long enough in a front office capacity to do much. If anything, he brought the wizards some recognition. True, he drafted kwame...but if you want to look at an ex player who can't draft for ****, look at elgin baylor for the LA clippers.

I guess you'd have to grade jordan based on his one draft pick. I still think he needed more time.

I think the ****ty record this year can be traced to lack of bigs and a bonehead coach. I think if we had one or the other we'd have a better record. Getting both would be nice.

I was watching Inside Stuff this afternoon, and they showed the Lakers training camp. There was one scene where Lamar Odom was trying to help Kwame and another laker on how to play in the post. Kwame was barely paying him any attention, shooting stupid shots and stuff, the other Laker was actually paying attention. He's never going to learn.
