Saw the two guys the Wizards sent down to the d-league tonight in Roanoke. Ramos is a big body but he can't keep his head in the game. Does some good things but is MIA at times. Blatche is looking good though. He had 12 pts. and 7 boards in 25 minutes. He even hit a 3-ball. Good energy, aggressive and will only get better. He should end up being a contributor for the Wiz. And we could use it.

Great to hear about Blatche! He may get a call up later in the season or if we catch an injury bug (crossing fingers this doesn't happen).
Anyone else get the feeling that PJR may never reach his potential? I know this is only his 2nd year, but he is not improving. He should be dominating the D-league based on his size alone.

I'm not too hyped about PJR.
Blatche on the other hand, I'm excited about. I hope he comes along well like he has been so far.

One thing I can't figure out is what position does he play? For Roanoke they already have PJR and this kid from Greece playing center. He's not really strong or big enough to play PF yet and he's not nimble enough to be a small forward. He's more like a hybrid. Sort of a bigger Jeffries. I don't know. But theres definitely some potential there. Makes ya forget about KB though.

When I attended the first Sonics game and saw Blache get his first touch of the season I saw his potential. He will be a very good player. PJ Ramos on the other hand...i think its funny how when he first came he had a bush then he switched it to conrows...but I dont know give him time he will be ok

You should be a scout if you can see people's potential as soon as they touch the ball. That's like a gift from God or something

When I saw Blatche play against Seattle, I knew he was going to be a star in the league someday, his game reminds me of KG's.

I live in Roanoke and attend numerous Roanoke Dazzle games and PJR is an absolute bum. He has got to be the biggest waste of a 7'3 body I have ever seen. He is lazy, doesnt get up and down the court....he is still at midcourt while everybody else is at the other end and the play is going on. He has horrible hands...he dropped/fumbled about 8 passes last night. He only has one post move and that is to turn to his right and do a half hook. He spends more time ******* and moaning to the refs than getting down the floor. At 7'3 he should be a rebounding machine but he is a complete joke. Im not a Wizards, but a Roanoke Dazzle fan, and I can tell you that this guy is absolute garbage.

One comment/question about each:
PJR: How is it that he can be so dominant for the Puerto Rican team and yet show nothing when playing in NBDL? I remember him dominating a game vs the US Under 23 team, led by Sean May and many other college stars...
Blatche: You can see when he gets in the game that he has lively legs and is extremely active. As he gets more comfortable and gets future minutes, I envision him not as a KG clone (not strong enough), but rather as a possible Shawn Marion clone with range from both the outside and medium range and wild hops to boot.

We'll see how Blatche does now. He's heading back to the wizards.

Ramos acts like he doesnt care about being on the floor. I have seen him play about 4 or 5 games this year with Roanoke and he NEVER hustles, doesnt get nearly as many boards as he should (due to being out of position because he doesnt hustle), commits terrible fouls, has a bad attitude/temper, and i could keep going. He should never even sniff the NBA again and if he does its because a team is absolutely desperate and needs someBODY that is 7'3.

PJR is benefiting from playing for Kent Davison. Veteran coach and great teacher. He's getting all the tutelage he needs. It's up to him to use what he's been taught. I just see a lack of focus and heart. What a shame.
Good Luck Andray.
