I love Butler, the "ugh" is because he's out injured.

And now Gilbert has left the game injured.

Ugh as in we lose one of our big 3. Which means we need Awvee Storey, Donell Taylor, or Billy Thomas to step up.

Great. Arenas has an injury to his leg and is going to the locker room. We really need one of those 3 to step up big.

This game is a super must win now.

Lower back strain for Arenas, he's back on the bench.

No word on if he's returning.

Erigion
April-7th-2006, 08:00 PM
Well he's back in but he doesn't look like Gilbert, doesn't have the explosiveness.

Half a Arenas is better than no Arenas.

This is really bad.

Gil looks alright now. He probably 80%

He got that dunk and jumped over the side board with no problem.

He looks a little slower on defense but he took a charge and aggressively went for a block.

April-7th-2006, 09:01 PM
As long as Gil keep that back warm he should be OK

He will be able to do most of what he wants but every once in a while he will move it the wrong way and it will flare up again. If he has made it this fair, he will finish the game.

I look for 40+ from Gil.

AJ seems to be getting tired. We need to get everyone back in their positions and run the office.

AJ needs to get to a stop and shot his set shot. We need his 3s

A few more pts from the support cast would help. we need Taylor or someone to hit from outside.

hands11
April-7th-2006, 09:03 PM
Thats the outside shot we need Taylor to make if we are going to get this thing going.

what was the tech for?

Now thats the shot I like to see AJ take.

hands11
April-7th-2006, 09:11 PM
This is going to be a score for all.

No D from us as we have Gill and Jefferies in foul trouble.

We need Harrington to get a few more fouls.

hands11
April-7th-2006, 09:11 PM
Dame, can that one ref be any older.

hands11
April-7th-2006, 09:14 PM
We need to put some players in that can be aggressive.

Put Blatche in and Etan..

We cant play any D or rebound with 2 players with 5 fouls.

hands11
April-7th-2006, 09:16 PM
Come on Eddie.

Get JJ out.

This isnt a good line up.

Put Etan and Blatche in. Pull Haywood and JJ.

You have JJ with 5
Haywood with slow feet
AJ with slow feet
Gil with 5
and Ruffin cant score. This is the wrong line up.

hands11
April-7th-2006, 09:19 PM
see thats not AJs game. The offense is out of balance with this line up.

Come on Jordan. Figure it out.

Gil just saved his ass.

hands11
April-7th-2006, 09:25 PM
AJ is awesome but this is where you see what he doesnt do well.

He is a great part of a big 3, but he isnt someone like Gil or Caron who can do it on thier own. He plays a better game running with 2 other studs.

He is forcing his game.

hands11
April-7th-2006, 09:25 PM
Dame, what up with Haywood. someone woke him up.

hands11
April-7th-2006, 09:26 PM
Man, we needed AJ to hit that open shot.

hands11
April-7th-2006, 09:31 PM
This was a tough game but very winnable.

Eddie blow this one by not changing the line up when he needed to.

You cant out score a team when your this short handed and cant play D because you have 2 players out there with 5 fouls and 2 with slow feet.

The move was to pull JJ and Ruffin and put in Etan, Blatche, or Billy.

We needed players that could be aggressive and or score.

If Gilbert is less than 100% and Caron and Antonio are out for extended periods, this team had better hope that 39 wins is enough to get into the playoffs. With the players we have available, and looking at the remaining schedule, we can't win another game.

Gil gets 40 .... again

He is amazing.

EJ is getting better but he still seems to miss the obvious.

Well, with so many players injured, why in the hell would you not play Blatche more and Etan only 19 minutes. He was 3-5 and 5 boards.

You had to play someone like BT and hope he got hot. You can't have AJ take 31 shots. That's why he was only 33%. He played way out of his game tonight.

Anyway. Those 2 are day to day. Its not like that have major injuries. One is a left sprained wrist and one a thumb. If it was the playoffs, they would have played.

I don't think Gils injury is anything to worry about. He will get some treatment and be OK. He will probably have to start a little slow the next few games so he can warm up but as you saw tonight, he will be fine.

The great thing is the 76ers, Pacers, and Bucks also all lost.

In other words, there is no gain or loss in the playoff standings.

I kind of wouldn't have minded to just rest Arenas for the entire game tonight. We lost anyway, I love him but for the long term the rest would have been better. Oh well....

Can't really blame EJ for tonight. I am a critic of his but his hands were tied tonight. I credit him for giving the bench guys the time that they got. But really, when your 3rd and 4th best player are out before the game starts and your best player gets hurt midway through, there isn't much you can do there.
