I think it's impossible for us to end up 7th. The lowest we go is 6th since we have the tiebreaker over Indiana, so thankfully we will not have to play the Heat in the first round.

Why are people still saying we could finish 7th? I've read it several times now on various sports news sites*. We hold the tiebreaker over Indiana, and Milwaukee can't catch us, so it's impossible that we finish below the 6 seed.

The skinny: The Wizards moved into sole possession of fifth place in the East with Tuesday's 116-103 win over the Bucks and can clinch it with a victory at Detroit. The Pistons are expected to rest their starters in this one, so the Wizards stand a good chance. If Washington can claim the No. 5 seed, it would face Cleveland in the first round, an inexperienced playoff team and one that Washington matches up with reasonably well.

If the Wizards lose tonight, they could drop as far as No. 7 (depending on what the Bulls and Pacers do) and into a first-round pairing with the Heat. That would be a nightmare for the Wizards, who have dropped 16 straight to Miami.

Orlando has been playing extremely well lately, even beating the Spurs in San Antonio the other night.

It's on NC8 for Comcast people in the DC Area.

**ESPN2 will be blacked out for the O's game in the Mid-Atlantic since CSN has the local rights for it, which supercede national rights.
