With the NBA regular season coming to a close its about that time when the talk of the league's MVP arises. This year I do not believe there is one clear cut winner. I feel as though there are several options from Dirk, DWade, Lebron, Kobe, Nash, Elton Brand, etc. My question is who do you believe is worthy of that award...
I personally would have to go with Kobe Bryant. Although previously I had been a Kobe hater I just cant ignore what he does. He has literally put the Lakers on his shoulders and carried them into the playoffs. Lamar Odom is not the player I thought he would be and although is upper tier player he is by no means extroadinary. Kobe has very little help and has done some amazing things. I think he deserves it the most.

Kobe. That 81 point performance was sick. Plus, you have to give the man credit. He carried this team on his back. I know people like to call Kobe selfish and all that, but early in the season, who else was there to pass too? He deserves it.

Mr. Steve Nash.... Stoudamire was out the whole season and the Suns still got the second seed in the west.

got to go with Kobe, i am partially biased but who else could do what he has done, playing in the western conference and having no one else on his team. Nash is in a system that tony parker, kidd or any of those guys could do well in, Lebron is good but not great, i got to give it to Kobe.

I can understand why Steve Nash is so popular and I would also consider myself a fan of his. He is one of the most unselfish players I have ever seen and he runs the Suns offense to perfection. But you cannot possibly consider a one dimensional player like Steve Nash to be this years MVP (Last year I probably would have voted for him without knowing as much about him as I do now).
Nash may be a great offensive general but the man cannot play a lick of defense. Infact, he is an incredible liability on defense. Jason Terry of the Dallas Mavericks averaged 20 points when he played against Nash (his season average was seventeen), when Terry played against pointguard Tony Parker who isnt even considered in the same league as Nash, he averaged 10. I just dont think it makes sense to vote for a player who cant even be competitive on the defensive end. This isnt the only example there are so many more cases that can be made. Nash is an amazing floor leader and offensive player but he isnt a complete all-star because he only dominantes on one side of the ball. He should not be MVP.
Kobe Bryant is one of the better defenders in the league and obviously one of the most prolific offensive players. He carried his team with virtually no help, while I do believe Nash outplayed him in the first game I think that he is still undesserving.
