I was expecting a video of him doing coke similar to the Marion Barry video with him doing crack. That was a real shame, he was special and he blew it. (no pun intended, well maybe a little)

Bias could elevate like nobody else, and he had such a soft touch on the ball. Really a special player. You watch those Bias highlights (there are about 4 or 5 videos out there), and you just can't believe some of the stuff he did.

Such a tragedy... Basketball lost an incredible natural born talent.

Should I feel sorry for him? He had amazing talent and he goes and kills himself. Total idiot! He gets hit by a car, he gets sick. he dies in a plane crash, then I feel bad for him. He ODs on coke......Idiot!

I didn't say feel sorry for him! But to call a dead man a name shows your sensitive side. I guess you are Jesus and never made a mistake

Pissed no heartbroken yes because it was so out of character for him. I am not going to sit here and say he died the forst time or anything like that. But Bias did it all the right way he did it through hard work he was a llittle known recruit who averaged 8 poiints a game as a freshman and worked his way up to first team all american,. He stayed all four years and was a very articulate young man. Instead at being mad at his death I have to feel that by dieing the way he did he kept more people from dieing ... His mother went on to speak about her sons death for years and maybe we gained more fromd his death than another basketball player.

Len's mother still gives talks to kids about the dangers of drugs, 20 years after the fact.

For an incredible number of kids all over the country, Len's death was the wake-up call that kept them away from cocaine. You still hear it today from pro athletes: "I remember where I was when I heard that Lenny died."

If you can take away any positives from that tragedy, it's that huge numbers of kids realized how powerful cocaine is. If it could kill Len Bias, it could kill anyone. Folks tend to forget what a shock it was at the time.

I can't even begin to imagine how incredible the 87 Celtics would've been after adding Lenny Bias.
