"Washington Wizards guard Jarvis Hayes did not want to go to the locker room. He knew the moment he left the visitors' bench and limped off the floor at Staples Center that he was saying goodbye to his teammates and to basketball for a couple of months. Problem was, Hayes really had no choice.
Less than five minutes into a game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Dec. 16, Hayes took one step trying to defend Kobe Bryant in the post and felt his right kneecap crack -- again. He grabbed his knee and tried to keep going, but while attempting to chase down Bryant on a fast break moments later, all Hayes could do was stop, grimace and say to himself, "Oh, my God.""

Definitely glad to have Jarvis back. Competition for D. Stevenson will make the Wiz better. Jarvis has a sweet jumper. Now, he just needs to stay healthy.

Yep, I really hope Jarvis stays healthy. He definitely can hit the outside shot, which we'll need if Gil goes to the basket, he'll have the option to kick it out to Jarvis for three. Daagggeerrr!!!

I am so ready for Jarvis to have a breakout year, he should be a 17 ppg 5 rpg, 1 steal 2.5 assist per game guy.
Plus he plays good defense, he needs to be more confidant in his athleticism though, hopefully that will come with time being healthy - he can take it to the hoop a lot better than people give him credit for and he needs to demonstrate that this year.

Agreed, but you can't help but get excited at this article. The knee breaks were strange, strange enough that they were misdiagnosed at first and incorrectly treated. His talent is there and damn, if a fourth head can be added to that attack, watch out.
I loooooooove guys gunnin for contracts in the NBA.
Cue that weezy joint...

Man I sure hope he breaks out this year. It has been frustrating as hell to see him get injured the past two seasons. I can't even imagine what he went through. When he came out of Georgia I was convinced he was worthy of a top 5 pick. I hope he can prove it on the court this year. It really does make me wonder what would have happened in the playoffs had he been healthy the past two years. I guarantee we would've taken the Cavs last year and probably won at least one or two against Miami the year before. Oh well, this year I'm more excited than the past two for what we can do. I really feel as if Stevenson and Hayes are going to help this team out immensely.

If we traded Etan and Taylor for Delonte West and a second, then traded Brenda and a first for Frye, passed on PJR, and then Hall, Lang and Pinkney showed promise our lineup would be
Gil/AD/West
DSS/Hayes
CB/Blatche/Hall
Jamison/Songalia/Pinkney
Frye/Ruffin/Lang
If not we will be stuck with Booth, Taylor, Poet, Brenda, and PJR and that lineup wont get us anywhere....especially the playoffs....but I am glad Gil, and CB arent pleased with just making the playoffs.
