Black and Bronze are the wizards colors, along with Blue.

I actually like them, with the old-school stars on the side. Kinda Wake-Foresty/Georgia Techy.

I'd say put blue in it though, like a dark blue. It looks EXACTLY like WF and GT unis. I also agree with whoever said they should have put Washington on there instead of wizards

I like the shorts. This combo doesn't look all that bad. They'll show off the uniform tomorrow at the "Meet the Team" event, and they'll have pics of it on the Wizards website supposedly tomorrow evening.

I like the idea of the jersey except the wiz name...I want washington there, and they should reverse the black and gold....gold stars would look nice....
At least the blue unis match....they look awful but they match.

That Skins should learn that lesson too....
Bright Yellow or Dark Red pants dont do it for me....I always hated them....The white uni should be all white and the B&G uni should be B&G.....I would prefer the R helmet (but in script...like on the caps) or the spear helmet.

Bullets unis sucked.

Don't know how often exactly but this is what it says on the Wizards website:
The new uniforms will be worn instead of the Wizards white home and blue road uniforms at select games this season.
I believe the 1st time they'll wear these uniforms is at home vs. Letravel and the Cavs on November 18th here at the Verizon Center.

Back when the Wizards had the name change in 97 Washington Post said Wizards should come out with a black alternate uniform in 2000.. didn't happen until now, except it's black shorts with gold tops??? If I were on the team playing with those on I'd be quite demoralized..

The Wizards are unveiling their new alternate uniforms tonight. They'll be two-toned with black shorts and gold jerseys. I also saw some kind of pattern of stars running up the side of the jersey. Arenas said he likes them because he already has a pair of shoes that will match. Antonio Daniels must have a different view. As he walked past me in the hallway on his way out of the building, he asked: "You seen the uniforms?" "Nope," I said, "What do you think?" Daniels made a face - the kind of face I used to make when moms forced me to eat veggies - and kept walking.

Word is that the team is going to transition to blue, black and gold as a color combination while dumping the bronze color that is on the current home and away jerseys. Arenas still wants to go back to a red, white and blue pattern but that's not going to happen.

An italicized modern font saying bullets with a 2 parallel separations running through the middle like bullets have flown through there and a bullet at the end of each separation would look cool. But the words would have to printed at slightly more severe angle than is the word "wizards", I think.

I actually like them UNTUCKED... Honestly that gold color is pretty nice, but instead of all black shorts, maybe they should have gold shorts with that black trim at the bottom..

I like how they look untucked but c'mon I'm pretty sure no other team will follow the trend of two-tone jerseys... that's football! The only way I'll accept this is if other teams start doing it too so I won't feel as disgusted :)

I was there last night. It was a pretty good event. The thing that sucked is that unlike in years past when you go down on the floor and there are like 5 tables (3 players per table), you can basically get everyone's autograph. Last night, when we entered they gave us a colored card, and later some of the players including Gil, Jamison, Caron and I think Hayes drew randomly a card (and whatever color card was picked was who you were to get their autograph). I got a tan card and Jamison picked it. Since I had two tan cards, I wanted to try to get a yellow one (that's what Gil picked). There were tables right along the main concourse in the 100's and Gil had his table in the 200's. Long story short, my cousin used the tan card and got Jamison, Blatche and Hall's autograph (those two were in Jamison's table), and I managed to get up to the 200's and get Gil's autograph (long after the other players at his table left, but since the line was long, he stayed after and signed) and that made my day! Sorry for the ramblings, just wanted to let you guys know a little about the event.

But about the topic at hand with the jerseys, I think they look pretty sweet in person.

That would be cool, I must admit... but the reason the name was changed from "Bullets" to "Wizards" to begin with was because the owner didn't want the team name to be associated with violence.... so I don't see the team name ever being officially changed back to "Bullets."

Hmm I thought everyone knew that? Young guys.. ;) Yeah, Pollin wanted the name change cause it was in the mid 90's when DC's crime rate began to skyrocket and it was his way of making a stand against it by changing the name and hoped for positivity within the community to end violent and started that movement to a once dangerous area in DC.. now crime has dropped and that part of DC where the Verizon Center is has become safe.. I truly believe Mr. Pollin contributed big time with this movement.. there were programs such as read books and get tickets from your local library (don't know if they still do this), and the Wizards were more involved with rebuilding area neighborhoods. yeah yeah off topic I know..

I know why the name was changed, but I always figured the awful uniforms that went along with the name made for another reason to change it. The Bullets NEVER had a good uniform. The colors may have been patriotic but bullets arent. It never fit. Black and gold fits Bullets ....or Wizards..... but get rid of the cartoon wiz and get a D&D'er to draw a real one or maybe Neil Gaiman or Boris Vallejo.
