Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas took one shot -- a short jumper -- at practice yesterday and was promptly ruled out of practice after the ball missed the rim by about a foot.
"I took a 15-footer, and it wasn't even close," said Arenas, who suffered a shoulder injury in the first quarter of the Wizards' 119-102 loss to Milwaukee on Saturday. Arenas hurt his shoulder when he collided with Bucks forward Ruben Patterson.
NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please be OK Gilbert.... :(

Asked whether he would be available tomorrow for the Wizards' rematch with the Bucks, Arenas said he was "75 percent" certain he would be able to play.
"Hopefully it will feel better by then," Arenas said. "I've still got 48 hours to go before we play. Right now it's very painful."
This sucks. Not a good way to start out the new year. He's a tough guy, so I really think he'll play tomorrow. We just have to hope this injury won't bother him for the rest of the season. Get well Gil.

Actually.
It might be very good for this team - currently first in their division and an absolute lock for the playoffs - to go and see if they can win without HIBACHI!
Look around the NBA and look at the WIZ. Is it not possible that CB, AJ and AD can go .500 for a 10-20 game stretch? Hell no! Think about the positive here - A fresh, healthy and motivated Arenas abusing a tired Rip or Wade in the playoffs. The Wiz are on to sumthin' and it's not just Arenas.

What's wrong with the shoulder? I won't know how worried I should be without knowing what the injury is.
