I've got the sneaking suspicion that the Wizards will either trade down to the late teens/early twenties, or acquire a second first round pick in that area. They've been working out some guys who arent expected to be in the lottery, but are generally projected in that range. And they are small forwards, for the most part. Pavlovic or Cabarkapa (I forgot which, but neither is listed on the Wiz workout page... I'll try to get confirmation ...edit... I take it back, Pavlovic is listed) was brought in for a workout, and rumor has it that Wes snuck off to France in order to watch Boris Diaw.

Also, there were reports that Zoran Planinic worked out along with the French guard who is listed on the Wizards private workout page, but Planinic isnt listed. Interesting, eh? Planinic is a 6-6 Euro PG (real PG, not a Navarro/Hughes/Dixon type) who was considered a great prospect, but then got into a bad car accident and didnt play most of the year. Apparently he has mad skills though. Also someone who wouldnt be taken 10th, but probably not there for us in the 2nd round.

The plot thickens.
Just something to keep an eye on tomorrow.

hmm... found this in a blurb about sofoklis schortsanitis (6-10 310lb PF from greece) by Chad Ford this morning

"Where will he go? The Knicks and Wizards have looked at him at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively. However, he'll probably be drafted between the Celtics at No. 16 and the Mavericks at No 29. "

Were we looking at him for 10, really? Or was it in case we traded down a bit? Hmmm..
