First of all, let me say that I hate Duke, but I got to give them props for playing one of the best games in the tournament. I was happy to see them go, but I give them respect for pushing UCONN to the limit.

As for Duke sucking next year, it probably won't happen even if Deng leaves. Every year they re-load up on talent, if someone leaves, they just replace him with another McDonald's All-American. Plus, Coach K will not let them be mediocre. They might not do as well as this year, but they will not suck.

I disagree Lavar Leap. J.J. Redick is pretty overrated, he is nothing without Duhon getting him the ball. Duhon is gone, and with my scenario Deng and Livingston will be gone. Who will play the point? Dockery? Haha, I would love that. As for the inside game Deng made Williams a lot better and Shaft-Lick wont be able to do much to help. If that team were in another conference they could easily win it, but dont forget they are in the ACC. GT only loses Marvin Lewis, Wake Forest loses no one, and MD only loses Jamar Smith. The ACC will be even stronger next year.

I do think while the refs stunk on both sides, especially that game turning 2nd early foul on Okerfor. I remember an article from a few weeks back about Coach K saying the Refs are very fair and he was wrong to ***** about them when Dean Smith was still around.


Then last night he bitched about them again.

Lets talk about chokers. Coach k been to the final 4 like 11 times and won it only twice?
Now i know he has won twice but come on man. dude's winnning % in the final 4 is a joke. its like the braves making it to the playoffs all the time and choking.

Are you kidding me? Over 700 wins or close to 700 wins and 3 National Championships. That alone is enough to get him into the Hall of Fame. If what you stated is true, then Dean Smith should not be in the Hall of Fame. Take out Bobby Knight. Think before you type.

700 wins. who cares. lenny wilkins has the most wins in the nba doesnt make him the best. red, riley, jackson..... lists goes on and on that are better.
i thought the topic was duke but if u wanna talk about dean smith sure we can do that.
i dont know why dean smith is in the hall of fame either. 10 trips to the final 4 and only won 2 titles. thats 8 games below 500. not a great winning percentage as well. i mean sure u can rack up all the regular season wins but isnt it all about winning the big game. and if u dont u are a choker man. the years when he had rasheed wallace and stackhouse, when he had carter and jaimson... he couldnt win with those guys. come on man. give those players to a wooden or BOBBY KNIGHT. they would win.

How can 3 National Championships not be good enough? If Bobby Knight has won 3 and Coach K has won 3, how does he deserve not to be in? Does staying at one school for 20 years not count for anything either? Speaking of Dean Smith, I hate Carolina, but the man was there forever and won 880 something games...the most of all-time. Give me a break, Coach Smith and Coach K deserve to be in.
