He declared for the draft :)

Would he fit here with the wiz??

Already?

Wasn't he just a freshman and he didn't even do anything for Duke?

Yeah...if you check www.nbadraft.com he is listed as going to the wiz with the 3rd pick in the draft......

As a DUKE fan I would love to see him wind up with the WIZ if he goes anywhere. he has tremendous potential. startign lineup: Arenas, Hughes, Deng/Stackhouse, Brown, Thomas/Haywood. Not too shabby

What a horrible draft class the Wiz have to choose from, I cant see a starter in the whole class. IMO Okafor is going to be a bust in the NBA, no outside game.

Deng shouldn't be declaring, he isn't ready yet.

And he might not even be in the draft. Even though he's declared, he officially doesn't have a choice but to go pro when he agrees to an agent and he hasn't done that yet. Which is pretty smart, so he can gauge how good his interest are now before making the full committment.

Trade the pick. Or draft some kid they don't have to plug in right away, so he can mature and maybe play in two years.

Yeah, Deng is pretty much definitely in. I can't see Charlotte passing on him at number 4.

If Deng is the best available at 3, then I agree.

But the Wiz could still win the lottery...

Even if they do get the lottery, I do not see the #1 player even coming close to what Dwayne Wade did (I don't want to compare him to Carmelo and Lebron because they are off the wall good).

THe problem with trading is who would you trade with and what could you get? I don't see that many teams trying to move up the draft boards because of the lack of talent. Whatever direction the Wizards choose to go, it will be the wrong direction as usual.

Luol Deng will be a force in the NBA. Within three years I could very well see Deng becoming an all-star. He was instrumental in Duke's success this year and is a solid prospect. He will be a great NBA player someday would be a quality addition to any team.

deng would not be bad cause we do need a sf, but we also badly need a center and can only hope kwame lives up to the hype at pf

no please, not a dukie, look at the dozens of so called great propects duke has had for the nba, and virtually all of them have been complete busts or sad role players at best

Would I like about Deng other then his immense potential is his leadership qualities.

Apparantly Coach K said the speech he gave at half time of the game in the NCAA tournament against I think
Xavier was stirring -- where they came back to win.

He made big play after big play down the stretcht

I really lik the kid.

DUKE PLAYERS ARE THE BIGGEST BUSTS IN THE NBA! Other then Grant HIll, who didnt last, name another all-star duke player? Not just a one time all-star either. Not a big fan of high schoolers, but that kid dwight howard is the truth.

ESPN insider is saying that the Bulls will take him b/c they don't have the stomach to draft another highschooler, especially one that remains them of Kwame. They also mentioned trading their pick.

dwight howard is not the truth, did anyone hear the sports reporters talk about him on 980 in dc they said he was on hbo with gumble talking about how he wants to change the the nba logo to have a cross on it he said that was his goal in the nba i have nothing agaisnt christians but that struck me as verry strange. anyway a lot of scouts are saying jr smith will be the best high schooler in the draft
