anti-climactic. melo-dramatic, over-hyped, long winded,garbage.

once the Lakers are out....I hope people will be more excited to see everybody else scrap.

Doubt it will happen though. Watching Duncan play is like watching an instructional video on HOW to play hoops....but it isn't the AND-1 Tour.

i agree with both your comments.

i hate all the unnecessary hype too.

in the past it was interesting to watch finals that didn't contain the lakers, but the lakers aren't that good anymore. if anything they are playing down to everyone else. the league is so lazy now. not many guys play hard for 48 minutes anymore; its all about the 4th quarter. that's why guys like duncan, garnett, and b. wallace do so well b/c they go all out the entire game.

Surprisingly boring. IMO, they need to do something to open the game up, need more offense...

i don't think the league can do anything more to open up the offense other than holding outside shooting, low post moves, and passing into the post clinics in the offseason.

Years ago all you used to hear was how there was no defense in the NBA. Now all you hear is complaints on how low-scoring and boring the games are. What do you want?

Yeah no one can shoot in the league anymore, thats why there has been such a dramatic switch to foreign players, they actually have fundamentals.

I think it really depends on what games you are watching. I think when the Mav's play it is very exciting. Although I am not a MAV's fan the games against the Kings were exciting and close. Those are the kind of highly climatic, back and forth, duel it out games that I like. Teams like the Timberwolves are also exciting. Watching Sam Casell wet threes is highly enjoyable. The Spurs on the other hand while very good dont excite me which is boring. When playing well, the Lakers are incredible b/c of the seemingly impossible shots by Kobe and monster dunks by Shaq. The western conference finals should be good when its Spurs vs. Wolves. My ideal series would be Lakers vs. Wolves though.

The East finals will be good as well. The Pacers have a good team and I gurantee if they make the finals they will NOT be swet in 4 games. The Pistons look good too. If they play one another it should be fun to watch.

The NBA has one of the worst playoffs in all of sports. The first round is just plain boring. There were really only two series that were actually close, but the no one wants to watch the teams that were invovled in those. Whose idea was it to lengthen the first round? It is already long enough without adding two additional games to each series.

The second round so far has provided more entertainment than the first. The two series in the West should both be very close. However, the ones in the East look like they will be lopsided.

The conference finals should be alright, but the finals will be the same as usual, a West thrashing. Overall, the playoffs are kind of weak. Things don't really start getting interesting until you are fairly deep into it.

I love my Orlando Magic and it sucks not being able to watch them (btw, you guys remember my man T-Mac dropping 63 on the wiz this year? ;). I don't like the NBA overall as much as the NFL. The NFL playoffs are great to watch even when your team isn't in it. The NBA playoffs are boring except for the final 2 series....

I finally got a chance to watch Wade from the Heats, he's really stepping up. Miami might have a chance against the Pacers if Indiana can't figure out a way to stop him.
