Ok Folks, Im back.
Hasnt been much Wiz to talk about till now.
The Draft is around the corner.
We all posted are predictions at the end of the season. Who will stay, who will go, will we draft and keep, draft and trade.
Some sided with keeping Gilbert and Larry in the back court will other like me said we need a true PG to run with one of them. Unless one of them will come off the bench. Ill be digging up the old posts so dont go changing your tunes now, or if you have be a man and eat some crow.
I have a decent amount of faith in Ernie doing something smart for the organization. I believe he isnt afraid to trade a star for star and understands the balance between what is good for us today as well as building for the future.
That being said, I do believe you will see a star gone from this team and it won't be Kwame. We have a log jam with Gilbert, Larry and Stack ( 3 star 2 guards ) on a team is to many.
The biggest thing the E man has working against him is our wonderful owner, who signed Jerry to a big, expensive, long term deal before hiring a GM. So he hired a coach, resigned a star then got the GM. ahhh dahhhhh.
So Stack and Gilbert have committed $$ and Hughes is done after this year. This makes Hughes to easiest to let go for someone good in return. May not be what I want, be may be the smartest move give Abe ( idot) tying our hands.
It make take a few years for Ernie to build the team he wants. Don't leave out the fact the Jordan my not end up being the coach he wants. I think Jordan will stick around though. He seems good enough to let it ride a few years. Lord nows we need some stability for our player to get really better. He did OK in his first year. He has some wholes, but I'm looking for much more in his second year now that he has his feet under him and can work with Ernie on player selection.
Anyway, dealing with Stack $$ is the major issue holding us back and he has, I think 3 years to go. MJ, if nothing else, did well to clear out this kind of dead wood, only to have Abe put us back in the forest.
