I Think this guy could defintely push Kwame Brown to his limits and give us option to either re-sign Kwame next year or let him go.

look, there isn't a guy that will be a star right away.

If you want to move up.

Offer Stackhouse and your pick for that pick. Get him off the roster and get the guy you want.

The Kings, Spurs, Mavs, etc all have Euro's on their team.

Repeat after me, draft a euro.

Kirilenko is one of the most complete players in the game, defense included.

hey booma, if u hav actually done research then u would know that biedrins is a good defender and is a euro that is one of the closest to making a quick transition into the nba.

Frankly, The euro's and Hoser's are more complete players than most of the High Schoolers and College players in the draft. And that's been for the last several years IMO. Unless you have players in the draft like Carmelo.Lebron,Martin's and others that's been quality top picks. You snag'em...But this year and the Kwame's draft year were total bust players. Unless you can take Okafor, there's not a true player that's gonna make an immediate impact anytime soon.

As a matter of fact, during Kwame's draft year, the hoser was Paul Gasol. The best player that year and as of today still the best player outta that draft, hoser:rolleyes:.

So euro players and hosers are more complete players due to them playing in already pro-leagues. Look at Tony Parker. He was a nobody and came from outta nowhere. That's because he played with quality pro-players in the euro league. And players in High-school and college now days are not quality players. There lacking in alot of areas that's gonna take time to adjust.

Rarely, do you nowadays have raw players like Carmelo and Lebron coming into the draft. And most of the high-school players are jumping into the NBA before they really no what they have at the college level. Atleast carmelo committed to play atleast 1 year of college to see if he could play on the college level. But these high-school jerks should be kicked to the lower end of the draft or not drafted at all. If you keep drafting them they're gonna keep entering early. I'm not saying they don't have a right to do so. But this is getting ridiculus. Atleast try 1 year of college unless your a dominant all-around player like Lebron,Garnett,Darrly Duncans or others.

But guys like Shawn Livingston, Sebastian Telfair and other need to try college first than enter. But IMO, euro's and hoser's are more experienced due to the exposure to playing on higher levels.

Biedrin is an absolute bust. He's just another overhyped hot euro prospect that has absolute no game. What good is a 7 foot tooth pick with absolute no inside presence going to do for us?

I'd much rather see if we can make a move for Howard or just draft Livingston at that spot than waste it on a euro project.

Biedrins has a better vertical than Amare Stoudamire. He's not a typical Euro. He prefers to play inside and focus on defense and rebounding. Try to do a little research before insidous comments.

Here is his profile from nbadraft.net:

NBA Comparison: Chris Bosh

One of the most promising big men prospects in Europe. Good defender, has size and wingspan as well as good timing in blocking (2nd in bpg in Latvia) and boarding. Not that polished yet on the offensive end, but scores consistently with both the drop-step and the turn-around jumper out to 10 feet. Has yet to add some inside moves, a more reliable outside shot and some pounds of muscle.

Notes: Member of the Latvian National Team at the Euro Cadet Championship in 2001, finished as 4th in scoring (16.3) and 3rd in rebounding (8.5). Also performed at the Euro Junior Championship 2002, where he played against opponents who were two years older than him, but still managed to average 6.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. He was named "Newcomer of the Year 03" in Latvias LBL.

Although I am primarily a Knicks and T-Wolves fan I think the Wizards are in a good position. I fully understand that this particular draft is not as deep as many others but there are several players that will become very good, if not great, NBA players. Assuming that the Bobcats take Josh Childress (a forward) then that leaves the Wizards with four great prospects.

Emeka Ofakfor is going to be a good ballplayer. I dont think he is capable of greatness but he could be a poor-mans Ben Wallace. He plays tough defense, he is quick and instinctive and has long arms to block shots. Okafor lacks a well-rounded offense and does not have much of a jumper. He is skinny and cant bang it out under the basket. He is somewhat of a tweener.

I have the most hope in Luol Deng. He went to a private school that I am familiar with (Blair Academy) and he is going to be a monster. Deng has a great rookie campaign for Duke and carried them deep into the "playoffs." I believe he could be great.

Dwight Howard is raw and young but I think he will be good instantly. He wont be a Lebron but he will be a very good NBA player.

If all three of these players are taken someone who might get overlooked is C Pavel Podkolzine. He would have gone lottery in last years draft but decided to spend a year refining his game. This guy is a monster but seems to move smoothly from the clips I have seen of him. Scouts have given pretty generous compliments to this guy so he should be good. Either way the Wizards have options.

I may be a dreamer but I would love to see Stack traded for another early first rounder. How does Ben Gordon/Luol Deng sound?

Letting Biedrins develop in Europe for a couple years would be good for us. Like the Nets are letting Nenad Krsitic develop for Divac's team, we should let Biedrins play in a euroleague where he can be a starter for 2 years. in that time he can work on developing a bit more muscle and inside moves.

in the meantime we can sign an inexpensive caretaker at the position such as mark blount, camby, or ostertag.

Martynas Andriuskeviscius, Kosa Perovic, and Pavel Podkolizine may fit your description of overhyped 7-footers with no game; but one player who doesnt is biedrins.

Honestly, have you watched game tape of Pavel Podkolizine. I am telling you this cat can play. He is a monster with quickness, finesse, strength, and improving foot work. He has a good work ethic and has already made giant strides (no pun intended) this past year while refineing his game. He is going to be a bruiser in this league, I gurantee it.
