the problem with most of these 3rd or 4th year guys is that if u giv them a contract it is likely that the other team is going to end up matching it unless that team has a big position of need where they need to sign a FA. but with that said, there is money to be tossed around. if kwame doesn't want to resign, we can try signing troy murphy. if hughes does not want to stay, go after ray allen. damn i want kirilenko and t-mac so bad.....

in order to get enough cap space we need to try trading for players with expiring contracts like scottie pippen who would ease up 5 to 6 mil. we could attempt to try tossing a so-called good small forward in jeffries at them for that.

I think the somewhat more affordable guys that would help the Wizards are players like Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Paul Gasol, Andrie Kirelenko, and maybe another backcourt player. If you could pick up two guys you would be set.

Clearly everyone on that list is an upper echelon player who are going to be paid a good amount of bling, but, out of the elite players in free agency, I think those few players are more affordable then the elite ones.

We should try to sign Eddy Curry and sign J-Rich to play SF for us.

Yes, yes. We would all love to sign Richard Jefferson and all these other guys that won't come to Washington because the Washington organization is a laughing stock and has been for the past 10 years, and as we all know Abe Polin has not been too willing to dish out the big bucks in years past.

I certainly could not fathom one way Gerald Wallace could help any team.

However, Dalembert appears to be an emerging star at age 23. 8 PPG, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks a game is exceptional considering he only receives limited playing time. But, I don't know why everyone is so quick to want to replace Haywood. I think he is an above average center in the East.

name 3 starting centers that average less than haycrap's 7 ppg and 5 rpg.

I think in order for Haywood to be effective he needs an injection of Etan Thomas' energy and learn that a big body such as his is often times used to your advantage(i.e. offensive boards and clearing space)

And that makes him what in the entire NBA?

It doesn't matter. Wizards will screw up whoever they sign. They'll suck while they are here and then when they leave be great again. As long as the cloud of despair that is Abe Pollin cloud hovers over this team there is no hope. Worst Owner in the NBA by far.
