Man! you know it's bad when the Wizards didn't like anyone in the draft at #5. Eventhough we got Jamison, The organization just didn't see anyone that was that intriguing. Furthermore, a bunch of other teams are trading their top picks as well. And alot of other teams just didn't have first round picks.

It's just goes to show you that all these High School players and early college entries are not worth it anymore. Unless you have a Lebron James or a Carmelo Anthony in the draft. These High school kids are taking this stuff to the extremes and thinking their the next lebron James or Carmelo Anthony. Frankly, Carmelo Anthony leaving early and Lebron James jumping straight from High School were unique players. Players that just don't come along very often. But now! you have kids that's not even college ready if you ask me and trying to jump straight into the NBA. It's starting to get depressing because now you don't really have your hopes set on a franchise player. Just a player that's projected to be maybe something good or could be something bad. And then you have to wait several years to even find out.

Yes! guys like Shaun Livingston and Sebastain Terlfair and alot of others. And some of you guys wanted to draft Shaun Livingston. Look, unless you were willing to wait several years like maybe 3-4 years atleast, or even longer. Don't blame the youngster. Trust me, I witness these guys play against the best high-school players in the entire country, And Shaun Livingston didn't even scratch the surface as being NBA ready. Nevetheless anyone else. Maybe Howard was the most physical talent out there on the floor. But even he didn't look NBA ready. These guys barely looked college ready.

Trust me, ever since Kwame Brown and some others entered the league. The High School talent pool has started to take a serious drop off in talent. And it's because guys like Kwame Brown and others that entered have these other High school kids thinking their ready to jump to the pros as well. But with every Lebron James comes some high school player that's not gonna make it, or your gonna have to wait several years to get atleast marginal play outta of him. Are you that patient for marginal play?

Better Yet! it's starting to become a serious crap shoot. But you can blame these NBA executives for this. Because they keep drafting these High school guys. In hopes to one day get the next Kobe Bryant or Kevin Garnett. Well! we the fans are starting to get fed up with it. Well, atleast I am and some others I know are too.

I look at this way. If we the fan wanted to wait 4-5 years on some high school player to develop and help his/her team of choice to make it to the playoffs. Then I'll just wait 4-5 years to purchase my NBA ticket/s. It's not fair to the college player that spent 4 years in college to get into the NBA and it's not fair to the fan that spend his/her hard earned money to watch high school players sit on the bench for 3-4 years or more. I'm quite sure every fan would love to see his/her team make it to the playoffs in a short period of time and not every 5-10 years. It's bad enough you have early college entries every year. Now the high schoolers are starting to out number the early college entries. If not, it's getting pretty close or may start to become just that in a few years.

Look at the okafor situation. This guy won a national championship and we determined him basically the best senior coming outta the draft. Now the NBA executives or wondering about if he's worhty of the #1 pick or should it be Howard. Atleast Okafor proved he could be a force on the college level. What about Howard, could he be a force on the college level if he attended? You be the judge....

These greedy NBA executives are ruining the NBA draft, the NBA and the chance to give struggling franchises a chance to select a franchise player that can help the struggling franchise immediately. But does the kid understand he's not NBA if the NBA keep drafting these guys and projecting them as being a high draft pick. I myself will be looking for an age limit come next season as to when a player can announce himself and to the entire world that he's entering into the NBA draft. Like the Commisioner stated " I don't won't to be involved in and overseeing a league that constantly sends NBA scouts to Jr. High Schools and elementary schools looking for the next High School stand out.

Okay! I'm griping. But what if you hit the lottery for a couple of millions. Would you quit your job or would you continue to work?

That's all I'm saying. How many of these guys are gonna quit working once they hit the lottery?

Okafor is an early entry also, because he is a junior.

Yea, the NBA has become the devleopmental league. Now everybody drafts according to potential instead of what a player can do right out of the gate. The unfortunate effect is that it has watered down the NBA game as well as killed the college game.

the college game isn't really suffering, its the nba. sure college has lost alot of talent, but i guarantee that come march stars will arise and become house hold names, the drama, the style of bball, march maddness has not lost any of its appeal, just because lebran is not in them. its still competitive, and college has never really been about the best players, but the best programs. last i checked duke will still be duke, kentucky still there. the rivalries, terps vs. the dukies, no matter where you are, which conference you follow, or who may or may have not left for the NBA, college bball is still very intriguing.
