It depends on when MLB sells the team. They may drag their feet for a few months and line their pockets with ticket sales before selling. If they sell before the FA market opens up, then Montreal may actually sign a free agent. Right now they are planning on letting Tony Batista walk for a guy in their system.
There is also the effect of having PEOPLE THERE TOO SEE YOU. No one came to see them @ home. nor were they a big draw @ any other place. Wait and see how the situation plays out.

I dunno about that. I think only the D-Backs were worse in the NL.

I hadn't heard that. Any idea who going to play third?

I don't know. They mentioned that in a yahoo fantasy sports article, but I can't seem to find it now. Perhaps his lats surge in the season will keep him in the organization. (He's a free agent now)

Hmmm..I also wonder what they are going to to with Nick Johnson. Don't they like Wilkerson (sp?)?

tough division. mets fan myself...yeah, we stink. however, the phillies are still strong, can't say enough about the braves, and florida always over acheives. could be a rough first few seasons for d.c. but hey, at least baseball is back where it belongs...
if they don't lose 100 games it will be a good season...especially with ownership hamstrung to sign free agents initially.

We are going to suck for a couple years, unless we get some owners quick and make a big splash in free agency.
