Anyone around here thinking of purchasing season tickets for 2005? If so, I was wondering what people thought was a reasonable price to pay (is it still something like 60 home games?).

I'm getting season tickets with a group of friends. It's 81 home games for a full season and I'm sure they will offer partial plans. The price of course all depends on where you want to sit. We are looking at spending $20-$30 per ticket, something in that range.

MLB plays 81 home games. Most teams have multi game packages (like 10, 15, 30 games) so you can go to many games w/o buying season tickets. The 15 (or so) game plans, which usually includes the best teams in the league (along with some of the lower draws) plus 1 or 2 interleage games.
You can also buy season tickets with a friend and split the games. Usually the bigger the package, the more they take off the price of each ticket.
My Orioles 13 game plan last year was about 20 bucks cheaper than the price walking up, plus they gave us free ticket cupons (up to 27 bucks, so we sat right on the foul pole) and other discounts.
I'm sure the Washington team will to the same.

I also think a lot of businesses and even offices will all put in and buy season tickets and split them throughout the season

I know I can't afford season tickets, I might try to get a 15 game mini plan though.

If you are on their mailing list, they are taking deposits right now. $300 per seat (deposit) Where do you plan to get your tickets? Infield or outfield? Upper or lower. With my Redskins season tickets and my newly acquired Bristol season tickets, I'm tapping myself out! Tickets range from $7 in the outfield to $90 behind the plate.

The infield box seats, for sure -- the only reason that I can see to *get* season tickets is to get the good location. Am dropping my Orioles tickets I believe even though they are in a great location.
And, yes, 4 Redskins tickets coupled with a full season Expos plan and a Cubs miniplan are going to be $teep indeed --

Here's a chart of season ticket costs from this morning's Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/sports/daily/graphics/exposrfk_111804.html)
I'm definitely going to look into a multi-game plan or 2. I want to get down to about 8 or 10 games this coming up season. These are pretty good per game prices, even if they're only about 75/80% of what they will charge at the gates.
