I've come to handle the fact that he wont ever average more than 10 points over a season.

But his mental lapses today really hurt us. First allowing an offensive rebound and then clearly not cutting off the baseline to allow Eddie Jones a bucket. Heck EJ took a timeout and spent about 10 seconds of it just yelling at him.:mad: At least Brendan is coming back Tuesday.

I tell you the Heat will be tough to beat. In the last 5 minutes, Wade will drive and either take the shot, get fouled, lob to Shaq or kick out to Jones...that is a lot of options during crunch time....Man, Wade is good!

It sounds like the Wizards were pretty damn impressive tonight. Considering they had to start Jared Jeffries the final 5 minutes of the game is absolutely unreal. No way he can handle Shaq. I can't wait to see this team's possibilities when Brown, Haywood, and Thomas return.

I think the log jam is going to start when Haywood comes back. Ruffin has to get minutes. He is like a Rodman type player. You put him at PF with Haywood at C, and Jamison at SF and you are going to have a strong front court. Id give Ruffin mins over Jefferies at PF anyday.

Looks like Etan, Kwame and Blake may not be back real soon.
Amazing we have so many key people out and the season has just begun. This is good that we can add them one at a time and blend them in, but I wish we were getting Kwame and Etan back sooner. We need these big guys.

Was out last night and tivo'd the game. Just watched it and here are some observations:

- Wade is awesome; plays under control and is a team player; his stat line was sick

- The refs blew! Some of those fouls on Ruffin and Walker were pathetic and I wonder why the NBA doesn't take a closer look at these things afterwards. Just because Shaq has not been involved in the game doesn't mean that the refs have to make sure he gets his #'s. They knew we were undermanned and fouled out both our big men on calls which could just as easily have gone the other way. On Samaki's last foul he was just standing there with his hands straight up and Shaq barreled into him.

- Hughes may score points and I like the fact that he hits some big shots, but he is not a team player. He is out for himself and his own #'s.

- Gil needs to minimize the turnovers!

- Peeler needs to be more involved in a game like this; hell, they took 27 threes!

- we are way too much of a jump-shooting team; isn't the Princeton offense supposed to open up some back cuts and more layups?

Very frustrating game to watch. We couldn't get over the top even without Shaq in there for most of the game. I am impressed by the amount of points we can put up, but there has to be more of a commitment to defense. :2cents:
