I'm not sure where to post Washington Wizard threads, but I really just stick to FedEx, so I hope it's okay...
Our boys are 3-2, with both losses coming at the hands of Shaq's Miami Heat. They're playing CRAZY defense. Antawn Jamison is paying off RIGHT away. Haywood is looking better. Juan (Fear the Turtle) Dixon didn't get his option picked up for next year, but is playing like a 5-year vet and adding a big spark. Hayes, Arenas are as good as ever and Michael Ruffin is a BEAST. I cannot wait for Etan Thomas to get back from injury.
Last night they could have laid down and died when a VERY deep Magic team stormed back from 15 down to go ahead, but they didn't. They sacked up and won it going away.
This team looks VERY different than last year after only 5 games. I can see the commitment, hustle and talent-level kicking in.
Should I even bother getting excited? Will they just settle back into a losing frame of mind? Am I fooling myself by thinking that Eddie Jordan's method (which worked SO well for the Nets) is taking shape?
Does anyone else CARE? :)
I'm a big NBA/Bullets/Wizards fan. I'd like to see us grab the 8th spot in the playoffs this spring. Have any of you been watching the season begin and seeing what I'm seeing?
