The Wiz are competing with them, right now they are winning 26-23. I'm being optimistic, but I feel they can win this game despite Dallas' deep bench and better team defense.
Nowitski is on fire though, yet Haywood has been a presence in the middle so far. He's actually using his size and power to make things happen, yet there are breakdowns in that as well. Once he allowed little Howard to get an offensive rebound and lay-up with Howard right beside him in the paint. Hughes is also on fire.
We're shooting 57% from the field, first time this season we've lead at the end of the first quarter. Nowitksi has 11 points and 5 rebounds already, insane. Score is 30-28 Wizards.

The score is now tied at 89-89. Let's see if they can carry the third quarter performance over into the fourth.

Another loss for the Wiz, unfortunately. I didnt watch the game, but looking at the box score, I'm very pleasantly surprised by Brenda's performance.
20 points, 9 rebounds, 5 blocks, 4 steals, and only 1 turnover. And 90% shooting. Wow.

It's been unfortunate that they've been faced with alot of really good teams who are farther along in their developmental stages than the Wiz are. 3-4 isn't that bad in the NBA, especially when you still have a key player out with an injury and only the second year of a system.

Well the team still needs Thomas and kwame in the line-up pretty bad. As someone stated, we are a shooting team not a defensive team. But with the sigining of Thomas and Haywood for the future. Mr. Grunsfield is expecting more form our center/PF then what we've seen so far. Of course the teams defense stinks when it comes to manning the paint. But again, with Thomas and Kwame out/ It's not really a fair assessment because our 2 young guns are missing from manning the paint and tema are taking cold advantage of that.
Now! If Thomas and kwame play up to their potentials and Grun get outta those guys what he expects and signed them for. Then the Wizards will be okay. But the Wizards season IMO depends solely on how Kwame and Ethan plays when they both come back. Because this Wizards tema without Kwame and ethan are doomed. Sure, they can shoot with the best of them. But playing defense and manning the paint is a weakness that hunts the Wizards until they prove other wise. And Jamison wasn't a real defensive type guy when he got here. Jamison is a scorer, so is Hughes,Gilbert and Hayes. But what trhese guys must do is dedicate themselves in getting better in the defense dept. The same thing happen to the Pistons other than ben Wallace. The rest of those guys on that team had to swallow some pride and do what ever it took to play better defense and get that defensive mentality. And if the Wizards don't do this soon. The Wizards will be another lottery team.

This team will not win many more games than last year.
