the Wizards have already committed to fourth year options on a couple of players and have to decide what to do with Kwame Brown's contract once he comes off IR.

Dixon's fast start may increase the trade value of the 6'3 guard for another club that may suffer a key injury or two in the backcourt before the playoffs.

Grunfeld may very well look to deal Dixon before losing him in free agency.

This club has great offensive potential and can score with anybody, but still needs help on the defensive end and inside.

While I don't expect to acquire an inside player for Dixon I could see a backcourt defensive specialist or small forward coming back in a trade. A draft pick and player is also possible.

I hope not. Dixon has been instant offense for us coming off the bench, and he can play defense. Also he doesn't have the respect he deserves and thus we'd get less for him then he's worth coming off the bench.

see, this is one of the areas we need to just look at our own talent and let it develop. I'm tired of seeing former Bullets on other teams doing really good, while we have crap here. We need to just let it develop. Dixon may become a really good point guard, and he already is doing a good job relieving Arenas. We dont need to trade him for another player who's leaving his prime just to come here and sit on the bench and complain about not getting the ball.

Dixon provides a spark of the bench, haters of him need to back off

I'd rather trade Blake.

Actually Blake is a better point guard than dixon....dixon is similar to a Bobby Jackson...he'll never be a starter but can come in and deliver some offense.....I think a wait and see approach will be taken with Dixon......

I would trade him for a lock-down perimeter defender, but that would be the only reason I would trade him. However, I do not think many teams would be willing to give up a lock-down defender for Dixon. Thats what this team needs. They have been scorched by perimeter players all year. They won't need help in the paint once Kwame and Etan come back.
