Well, the Redskins aren't giving us much to root for right now so I am getting ready for the Wizards game!
ORONTO (Ticker) -- The Washington Wizards will be playing without their coach again when they visit the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.
Coach Eddie Jordan was hospitalized Thursday night with a blood clot in his left leg and is not expected to return to Washington's bench until Wednesday against New Jersey. With assistant Mike O'Koren handling the coaching duties Friday, the Wizards lost 116-114 in overtime at Philadelphia.
Washington had the ball with 3.9 seconds left and the score tied at 114-114, but Allen Iverson stole the inbounds pass and scored the game-winning layup with 0.2 seconds left.
Antawn Jamison, who topped the 25-point mark for the fourth straight game with 27, was one of three Wizards with a double-double and Gilbert Arenas scored 23 in the loss. Jarvis Hayes, whose 3-pointer as regulation time expired forced overtime, scored 18 off the bench.
After a five-game losing streak, the Raptors have split their last four games, including a home-and-home series against the New York Knicks.
At Madison Square Garden on Saturday, Toronto suffered a 106-102 setback. Vince Carter scored 19 points, and Morris Peterson scored 18 off the bench as the Raptors' reserves equaled the output of the starters with 51 points.
On November 23, the Wizards topped the Raptors, 106-82, at the MCI Center and have won four straight against Toronto overall.
I am liking Jarred Jeffries on Vince Carter. Jeffries is playing out of his mind right now and is shutting everyone down :) Too bad he couldn't gaurd AI :(
