Can the Wizards not play Defense ??? I MEAN WTF! Every game there is always 1 or 2 people always open and hittin their shots. And then when the Wiz are given the same opportunity, they miss the shot.

Cook has hurt them with 3 3's but they are starting to pay him more attention....love the retro look and the Wiz had a strong 1st quarter....keep it up Bullets, er Wizards!;)

I'm sorry but Wiz arent gonna win another game with D like that. How can you let people get that wide open on a regular basis ? And then when you get open, you miss with an airball. Wtf is Eddie teaching these guys about D.

I hope I don't jinx us but the Wiz has not committed a turnover yet...through 1 half...looking good...need some more inside play from Kwame and Brendan as the Lakers don't have anyone that can really match up against them....should be an exciting second half....let's steal one in L.A.!

Sometimes (ok, a lot of the time) our defense takes the night off. But our team is young, talented and athletic, with discipline it can become a beast defense squad.

But i say rename the wizards the bullets and bring back the retro jerseys...those are awesome!

WTF. All of our big men except Brenden blow. Ruffin = Waste. Walker = Bigger waste. Brown = Waste. I mean.. all of them are useless, Okay maybe Ruffin is good for D, but the other two, Kwame and Samaki are definite waste, time to dump those two.

I like the orange unis. Why did we ever change the name from the Bullets?? Are these unis Baltimore unis, or did they wear these in DC??

If we lose this game, it'll be because we're getting manhandled on the boards. 34 - 21 in rebounds, favoring the Lakers, after 3 quarters. We're both shooting about the same percentage. As this team matures throughout the season, they will start playing better D. Somebody check Chucky Atkins too...

Drive drive drive.

They need to keep pounding on them.

the wizards are a very young team and young players tend to think more offensively than defensively...they're lookin good right now and this whole season so far...this is a playoff team and if they keep the core guys together for a while...they're really going to gel and become a dominant team in the east...the defense will come around...for those who have played high school ball and college ball, you know whats more important for you than anything is getting some numbers on the board...the young players for this team obviously care more about O than D...as the season goes on and they see that they're going to need D to win the tough games down the stretch, the D will appear and the Wiz will make the playoffs

The Wiz need to start getting some rebounds.

seriously, the wiz better get some Defensive Reb. they're giving the Lakers to many 2nd chance points (Atkins) and Kwame still hasnt learned how to control himself in the paint...if you watch closely, Kwame's so fast in the paint, that he leaves his lower body behind and his upper body is somewhere else (result are all his unbalanced shots)...he just needs to control his speed and he can make himself a couple of nice inside moves...he also needs to be more aware of his surroundings when he has the ball...

Kwame seem to be out of sync still. For the first time in a whille, Im wondering about him. Im just not sure what his game is right now.

If not a great defender
He get rebound.
Not a great blocker
Not a great inside player
Not a great outside player

He has to focus on one thing and get great at it.
I say he work on defense and rebounding and boxing out.

Gil and Hughes are having great game.
We cant defend the 3 for crap

Gil needs to start hitting some 3s and drive drive drive

i think Kwame can be very good when he's down low...he just doesnt have a shooting touch to be an Antwan type big man...I read somewhere that for a big man, Kwame has very small hands and that he has trouble palming the ball when he goes up for a shot...i think if Kwame could control the ball when he goes up...he could be very dangerous down low cause he's lightning quick...he does need to develop in one aspect of the game and i think it should be postin down low and using his quickness to get easy baskets

Jamison need to stick to those open shots. He is hitting them.
He needs to stop forcing shots, he is missing those.

Give it to Gil and Hughes.

wow, when did Kwame score 4-8
I missed that

We're just getting raped by the 3-ball

And we changed our freakin name from the bullets because it was "too violent" but hey, at least it represented the city well...

Come on Jamison, shop forcing it.

He cant drive on Odom, wait for the open shot that your hitting and stop forcing it.

Let Hughes and Gil shot
Gil keep driving

Jamison on shot if your wide open.

Everyone hit the boards and cover the 3s

Keep following the plan

Working great.

If Jamison tries to drive on someone and forces a shot, Im going to scream.

Hughes and Gil and doing to great to let anyone else shot unless they get it dished off to them like the Jefferies and Jamison last 2 shots.

2 stupid plays.

Gil should have brought that rebound out and ran the clock.

What in the hell was Jamison thinking. What kind of pass
what that. Whats going on with him the last 2 games. Maybe that shot in the eye messed up his brain.

What i dont understand is. Wasnt peeler brought in to shoot three's ??? yet he only had 1 three in the game, albeit was a huge one, i still think he should get more involved.

Ill take the one possitive. This is the first game since he came back that I have seen the quick step from him. Maybe he doesnt know how to control it yet.

Im glad to see that burst of speed from him again. He tried that dunkl follow up. First time Ive seen him do that also.

Lets see what he has over the next 5 games. Maybe we will see some more glimpses of progress from him.

22 min 4-8 not many rebounds 2-1 for 3 total
2 blocked shots. I think that may be his high this year.

Press equal better calls.

Gil and Hughes are proving to be stars and will start to get more and more calls go thier way vs Ruffin gets no respect.

He gets called for a block every time even when its a charge.
He has to get that reputation like Rodman had. He always got the charge but he was getting 15 rebounds a night, so he was a star.

Up until that shot, I was really wondering why we had him. I know he was a great 3 shooter last year but hadnt done much for us.

Peeler just won me over for the next 5 games. That was huge.
Im sure that will help him produce better for us. Sometimes when you switch teams you have to do sometime that makes you feel a part of things. I think that was it. Huge shot, huge win after getting robbed in the Miami game. First game on the West swing. We really needed that.

Thanks AP
