We should end up being around 12-7 with Hughes out. Not bad at all.

This is what we have left.

Mon 14 @ New Orleans W 31-20
Tue 15 @ Houston L 31-21

ALL STAR Break - Hughes likely to be back for MEM. Kwame 1 or 2 games after this.

Wed 23 Memphis W 32-21 ( Mem is good, this will be a tough game specially if its Hughes first game back. I hope we can take them.

Fri 25 @ Chicago W 33-21 ( I putting this as a win, but a tough game.

Sun 27 Sacramento W 34-21 ( Hughes should be mixed back in and we should have some Kwame action.

Then we head into March. Im going all out on my March prediction. I have use going 13-2 loosing only to

Wed 2 Houston
Sun 27 @ Seattle

and beating:

Fri 4 Golden State
Sat 5 @ Charlotte
Tue 8 @ New York
Sun 13 @ Boston
Mon 14 L.A. Lakers
Wed 16 @ Atlanta
Fri 18 @ Milwaukee
Sat 19 Utah
Tue 22 @ Denver
Thu 24 @ Utah
Fri 25 @ L.A. Clippers
Mon 28 @ Portland
Wed 30 Atlanta

46-24 0.657% coming out of March and ready for the playoff run.

We should be in the mix with the top 8 teams in the league.

Miami
Detroit
Seattle
Phoenix
San Antonio
Dallas
Houston
Sacramento

I hope we do as well as you are predicting....I am very excited to see Larry back in the line-up and Kwame....I can't believe we are this close to getting our full team back....who will be de-activated?

I'm guessing:

Profit (I wish they wouldn't)
Walker

If not Profit then it would have to be Peeler, but they are not going to do that....

Most likely not, without Hughes.

Houston is starting to put it together. They are going to be one of the top teams before the season is over.

They are on a 6 game winning streak.

They have beaten.

@ Dallas
San Antonio
@ Orlando
Orlando
@ Indiana

They have a nice team with Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming leading the way.

I think they have a little more then we can handle without Hughes and Kwame in the line up.

I sure hope its Walker. We arent going to need him if Kwame is on the team. Profit should be protected. He is still young enough to have an upside. Walker is definetly on the down swing. Time to move forward. Profit deserves a chance to stick around.

Samaki Walker was born February 1976, while Laron Profit was born August 1977. Not much difference there.

Well, we are going to have to put two guys on the IR once Kwame and Larry come back...that doesn't mean getting rid of anyone at this point....I just think it's going to be Profit and Walker going on the IR.

You have really dissected the season...I like it!!!!

Although those 13 games are winnable...actually all the games in March are winnable....i just think we will slip up here and there about 6 times. I see us going about 9-6.

I think we will lose once to Utah.
Once to either NY or Boston...
At Hou and Seattle like you said...
and then once to someone we SHOULDNT lose to...you choose (i.e. Mil/ATL/Cha/GS etc..)

Ok so that makes it actually 10-5 for the month of March....I will stick w/that...thats definitly doable.

As for the others...i agree w/you...but if Kwame misses the SAC game then i think we lose...(last year he played well against Webber)...but w/Brown i think we can pull that one out since its here.

Overall i like your analysis.

Right, so he is 27-28.

That would be young enough to still have an upside.
Walker is definetly on the down swing.

Its not just the age, its the talent and upside. Walker has
reached his peak already. I dont even think Profit has scratch the surface.

Im sure you senerio is possible.

Im a glass half full kind of person. I trying to be reasonable, but
Im also hoping for the best.

Ive been projecting pretty well so far, so dont be afraid to believe.

I was the one who started that thread,
How many games will we win this season posted on January-5th-2005

People thought I was a little nuts at the time.

Well, looks like I wasnt. I still see 50+ win.
31.03% of use though 50-55 was possible.
69% though less.

Just wait till Hughes gets back on the court. Everyone will start to get ramped up about this team again. I think many have forgotten what an impact he has. We are going to be better then when he left because Gil is better. Also, some of our player have grown, and we have Etan. Now you add Kwame and hopefully we see some good things from Ramos over the next few games.

If we can get something from Ramos. That will help a ton against team with huge Centers like Yao.

Oh, yeah. Believe it. We can be incredible before this year is over. We hadnt been loosing the games we should win when Hughes was in, so why would I project we would start now.

We can go 13-2 in March. If not, its not going to be far off that number. Maybe even better :)

I also predicted a 50 win season, but I'm not so sure anymore. Jordan has to do a better job with his rotation. I don't understand why he didn't try Ramos against Yao, after activating him for that purpose. It's not as if Etan or Ruffin were effective against Yao.

After the allstar break, teams are going to buckle down on defence. Until the Wiz decide to defend the 3 point shot and layups down broadway, they are going to have issues with the Miamis and Detroits. It drives me nuts that a team like the Bulls are #1 in field goal percentage defence while the Wiz are #30 in overall defence (I don't remember the Wizards' exact field goal percentage ranking). I don't see that disparity in defensive talent.

Even though the Suns are last in points allowed at 102.3 a game, tehy make upp for it by scoring 110.2. The Wizards give up more than they score at 101.6 and 101.5, respectively.

Im glad you posted that stat. I hadnt kept up with that.
We used to be higher, somewhere around +2-3. This was before Hughes got hurt. Man is he important to our defense.

Interesting that even where we are today, we are ranked 14th out of 30. I think we used to be a top 5 team. Thinks will get better with Hughes and Kwame.
