NEW YORK -- With no miracle save in sight and a weekend deadline long gone, the NHL made plans for a news conference Tuesday to cancel what little remained of a season already decimated by a lockout.

I enjoy watching hockey and playing, but it is going to take a lot of convincing by the NHL to get me to watch again!!!

I actually didn't mind the lockout this year because the Caps team is so young. Without it, they would have had a team of 18 and 19 year olds playing seasoned vets and getting thier asses kicked each night.

If they are able to get the financial house in order, and change some rules such as banning the nuetral zone trap and getting rid of the red line, hockey will be a lot of fun to watch again when it comes back.

I hope its sooner then later

I like hockey....but the NHL and its players need to understand most of the people in this country dont care if it is played or not...therefore if they want to have any audience they better fix this and do so quickly.

I don't know how to feel.
Basically I'm sad.
I love Hockey and it should never had come to this. It's a blue collar sport that tried to become as flashy as basketball.

The fact than you have Hockey in Dallas, Arizona, and Florida (twice), with no fan base and the fact that prices are $50-$70 is atrocious.

I liked the fighting, and the wide open ice style. Now with no fighting, and the stinkin trap, Its an inferior product.

a bit of a rant, but just upset at the whole situation! :mad:
