The dunk contest participants are:
JR Smith
Josh Smith
Chris Andersen
Amare Stoudemire
Josh Smith is my pick. He gave an impressive performance while winning a high school dunk contest I saw last year. It's a pretty big bummer that Lebron isn't participating.

It's official? I thought it was a last-minute decision?
If he doesn't, you're right, it'll be disappointing.

Arenas won the MVP of the Rookie-Soph game a few years back, didn't he?
Give him some minutes and he'll win MVP of the All-Star game!!
He's also going to win the Skills Challenge. To hell with Steve Nash!

From The Post:
The last time he participated in All-Star Weekend, Arenas scored 30 points in the Rookie Challenge game in 2003 and won the MVP award. "Oh yeah," Arenas said. "Once I get on the floor, I've got one thing on my mind -- it's winning and going for that trophy. Why not?"

Here is the lines for our boys at the half of this years All-Star game:
Gil played 6 minutes, scoring 0 points on 0-4 shooting, 1 assist.
Jamison did a lot better, playing 8 minutes, scoring 5 points, grabbing 4 rebounds (which ties for the East lead) and 1 assist.
Come on Gil, show the world how good we know you are....:notworthy

Arenas hit a nice 20 foot banker and a corner 3 for 5 points. Jamison looks non-existant out there.
