View Full Version : Kwame: Fall Guy vs. Immature Punk?

Last night's loss to the lowly Warriors was very disheartening. The post-game comments were even more worrisome, at least to me. I can't tell if EJ just doesn't like Kwame or if he's just getting tired of his immature behavior.
I think both are at fault, at least given last night's circumstances. EJ had no business singling out Kwame (by yanking him in the 3rd quarter), even though Arenas was turning the ball over left and right and Jamison continued to struggle. But, on the other hand, Kwame has ABSOLUTELY no business ignoring a team huddle. It's that kind of crappy attitude that' gonna get his *ss out of the league in the very near future.
So, I guess my question to the board is: Who is in the wrong in this case? Some sort of resolution needs to be reached, and soon, otherwise, I'm afraid all of the excitement and potential this team has shown thus far may only result in a quick playoff exit.

Brown also didn't join a team huddle at one point late in the game, sitting at the other side of the bench while the team plotted strategy. Like most of his teammates, Brown was gone when reporters were admitted to the locker room.

I'd be pi$$ed off if I was Haywood or Kwame. They dominate their matchups everytime they are out there and they get yanked game after game.

How long will it take before we recognize our denial? He is a waisted #1pick. I hope they ship him out ASAP. If not ,he'll be a cancer on this team.

Along with Haywood, Kwame was the mvp of the game. He's now gone 12, 10, 9, and 12 rebounds. He scored efficently and shot 50%. Yeah, what a bust. He also plays defense. Okafor did nothing out there tonight.

Well, what a difference a night makes....Kwame played very well getting a double-double and playing solid defense....when I start getting frustrated with him I keep telling myself that he would only be college senior this year....but missing another team huddle? Unexcuseable!!!:whippin:

Id have to vote for immuture then. That is unexceptable behavior when your on a team and your a professional. Its one thing to not like a coaches decission to pull you but thats not the time, place or way to show it.
If he want respect from his teamates, coaches, fans and his peers, he cant do things like that. It just makes him look like a baby.

When EJ took Kwame out the game was close, then while he was on the bench GS went up by 15.
The reporters asked EJ why he didn't put Kwame in, because of the run GS made while he was on the bench, he then said no one was playing well.
I can understand why Kwame was upset, but glad he didn't let it bother him the next game.

Ya, Im aware of that.
It was still unprofessinal and immuture.
Hes getting paid like 5M a year. He can suck it up and make it to a hundle to support his team. You are either a part of a team or your not. You dont always have to like the coaches decission but you have to say a part of the team.

Ahtletic: A
Big body: A
Post Game: B-
FT: C+
Teachers note:
Kwame has an abundance of talent and does well when he applies himself. Kwame doesnt play well with others and resent authority figures.
