Sat 5 @ Charlotte
Tue 8 @ New York
Sun 13 @ Boston
Mon 14 L.A. Lakers
Wed 16 @ Atlanta

So we get 2 days off before NY. These are road games but at least the are East coast games. Same time zone. Wow, these guys have to travel a lot. Could you imaging having to do this yourself ?

After NY, Boston isnt to far a flight. 4 days rest.

Then we come back home for the Lakers the next day. Hopefully the flight out that night, get in late, get a good nights sleep, wake up and play that night.

I guess they would leave for GA the following day. The 15th. settle in for a day, then play Atanta the following night.

Hey, for a road schedule, it could be a lot worse. The toughest part is the Boston to LA at home transition.

Then it gets harder.

Fri 18 @ Milwaukee
Sat 19 Utah
Tue 22 @ Denver
Thu 24 @ Utah
Fri 25 @ L.A. Clippers
Sun 27 @ Seattle
Mon 28 @ Portland

Fly on the 17th to Mil, settle in, play the next day.
Come back that night I guess, Utah on the 19th.

Then we go out West.
Fly on the 20th. Time Zone change and atititude.
21th rest and adjust.
22nd Play Utah.
23rd Fly to Utah
24th Play Utah. Fly out that night
25th play LA
26th Fly to Seattle
27th Play Seattle, fly out that night
28th play Portland

I would be tired also if I have to do this crap for 82 games.
When you break it down. Its nuts. It would be one thing to travel this much without your family and friends. Its a whole nother thing to have to do something athletic at the level they do.
This isnt Baseball where you can stand around some.
Football is only once a week for a reason.

They shouldnt have to play more then 2 games a week or a 2 games a week, 3 games a week alternating.

I couldn't imagine having to deal with this type of schedule either - but if I got paid 10 million dollars a season to do it - I think I'd make an honest effort to adjust. :D

Seriously though, these schedules are absolutely grueling. The only other professional sports schedule that I think may be tougher would be baseball's. The gameplay may not be as tough for most (I'm guessing) but the number of games they play and the length of the season is amazing to me.

Well, the good thing is every team has to face these difficulties. We are playing a ton of road games this month which is a hurdle. We obviously play better at home. At least most of these games are against inferior teams, so we should be able to win our fair share.
