Cal Ripken is probably my favorite sports player of all-time, but I think he played hurt at times just to preserve his streak. I hope that Jamison doesn't do the same thing. This would only do damage to our team. He needs to let himself heal/rest if that is what he needs and let someone like Profit get some playing time, which would only help us in the long-run if he games experience/confidence. :2cents:

I agree. Jamison appears to have 'run out of gas' over the past 15-20 games. I think maybe resting for a game or two and allowing himself to get healthy and re-energized would be best not only for himself, but also the team.

Well lets see if we have a Collins or something different.
This is a coaching decission. I think Jamison should play but only limited. Maybe start him and pull him quick. Use him sparingly to stabilize things when needed but let someone else run, like Profit. You could play him like 10 minutes for a few games and see if that helps. If Profit can show he can pull his weight after a few games, then many you reast Jamison a whole game somehwere. We are going to get like 4 day off real soon. Hopefuelly that helps.
Do EJ have the diiscipline to do it ?

I don't think it is solely a coaching decision. I think EJ will ask Jamsion if he is ok to go and it is up to Jamison to speak up and say, "yes", or "no". If you play him 10 minutes a game he still goes through warm-ups and shoot-arounds. I think if he is really fatigued or his knee is really bothering him he should sit down for a week or so. I think it will be a joint decision between Jams and EJ, hopefully they come up with the right decision. This is no Stackhouse here who just wanted to shut it down and get paid...

My point is Jamison is going to want to play. Its a coaching decission to sit him for his own good instead of letting the warrior in him take over.
He is going to do everything he can to convince them he can go.

It really comes down to both. Jamison needs to be objective and honest enough to admit to the coaches if he's not 100%, streak be damned. And Jordan needs to focus on the big picture and potentially 'sacrifice' a game or two, so in return, he'd get a healthy and well rested Jamison for the stretch run.

Jamison should limp out there for one basket and then call time out to keep the streak going.

He's not playing tonight vs. New York. Streak over.

I'm glad Jamison sat, but as a paranoid Bullets fan, I can't say I'm not concerned that his streak is ended.
