WASHINGTON -- Washington forward Antawn Jamison will miss the Wizards' game against New York on Tuesday night because of a knee injury, ending the NBA's longest active consecutive-games streak at 386.
Jamison, who left the Wizards' victory over Charlotte on Saturday after playing 22 minutes, was examined Monday and diagnosed with tendinitis in his right knee.
Jamison, averaging 20.0 points and 8.0 rebounds, last missed a game on April 19, 2000, the final game of the season when he was with the Golden State Warriors.
"It's disappointing that I'm going to miss the game against the Knicks," Jamison said. "But I'm confident that my teammates will step up in my absence. I'm going to use this week to rest and rehabilitate my knee."
