I'm a little worried about this one because we're so banged up but I have a feeling we grind it out in a close hard fought game.

Wizards 99 Knicks 95

It's always a down-to-the-wire game when we face the Knicks. I see us pulling it out in OT- 107-103. Hughes & Arenas with 30+ Kwame and Haywood double-doubles apiece. Marbury goes for 30+ and Tim Thomas hits 6 3's. Should be a good one:)

GO WIZ!!

Please take the Offical tag out of the title. Just for precaution :D

P.S We seem to lose everytime there is an "Offical" in the title :(

I think Haywood will have about 14 pts ,10 rebs and 4 blocks, Kwame...28 pts, 12 rebs, 6 assists......Hughes....26 pts, 8 rebs, 6 assist, 4 stls....Arenas....24 pts, 11 assists, 5 rebs, 3 stls, Blake 3 3pts, ...can't think of anything else really

This is gonna be a fun one. Peeler supposedly will be out with flu too. Marbury/Crawford vs. Arenas/Hughes will be exciting, but the Wiz need to win this game down low. We need to pound the ball down low to our 7 footers seeing as NY has no center. Kwame and Brendan should be able to score on Thomas and Sweetney at will.

EJ = cant coach..
How many times do we throw the ball inside, to have it goto the other team ? You would think they would practice that alot. Also, wtf is up with our Pick and roll Defense, we cant defend it for sh*t. And we had like a 6 point lead, and EJ decides to put his lover in the game (Ruffin) and we lose the lead. GG

Sigh..i feel like were a little undermanned to play this type of team

EJ doesnt learn, this team is retarded, another WIDE OPEN THREE. Please quit EJ, you suck :(

Our 5 point lead + 1 minute = 5 point deficit.

I don't like it either, mad4. You guys are so funny.:) Blowing up the coach in the 2nd quarter. (I do realize that some of you have been firing him for about 10 games now.)
The momentum is gonna swing alot tonight. Let's dig in and stay positive. If it's not close, it's not a Wizards' game!!

they made 50% of 3pt attempts (15 easy points).

I've been wanting to fire him since the first ten games of the season. The guy cant teach a lick of defense, i dont think he even knows what that is. How many times can you have teams shoot threes on you until you learn to play MAN DEFENSE and stop Double teamming ? Look at the Knicks they already shot like 6 threes, and what does EJ do, sticks with the double teamming crap. He doesnt learn, thats what scares me, even a three year old kid knows better. If a three year old kid kept getting in trouble for doing something wrong, theyre gonna stop, well they might do it a copule more times, but eventually they will learn, EJ is the total opposite.

No Chachie, certain people around here have been firing EJ since the beginning of the season....dolts! He must really suck to have the best record we've had around here since 78'.....

Anway, about the game. Brendan and Hughes are looking good and Jefferies is Mr. Hustle, love watching him play. They have been trying to feed Kwame but he is missing layups and five foot jumpers! :puke:

I think our defense plays better when we go to the box and 1 with Jared the 1, I don't see the Knicks getting the wide open shots when they go to this defense. The double-teaming and switching seems to be a bit too much for them and they get it all screwed up. A couple of times we were just standing there looking at them take open 3's

Only down 8, let's go Wiz! Plus, the Knicks are getting their Bigs into foul trouble....:)

1.) I agree he instituted a great offense here, but its the play of Arenas, Hughes, and Jamison which really won us most of the games, EJ maybe won us 1 game...okay ill give him 2.

2.) Jeffries is good, but im just weary of him handling the ball on the offensive end, i dont know why, but i just quiver every time he has the ball.

3.) the lack of D is due to EJ's poor coaching, he is an offensive minded coach, but cant teach a lick of defense.

How many effing times do you need to trap and double team Penny Hardaway and Trevor Ariza. I swear, this team is absolutely mentally handicapped sometimes.

Dude, this sucks. I know we are VERY light on the roster tonight, but we are supposed to be a team that scores a hundred points a game. We're getting punked by WEAK teams.

Mad4- Cheer up, Homey. We're outnumbered tonight and playing guys that perhaps SHOULD be sitting.

I dont care that we lost, i just care about the way we lost. WE CANT COVER THE 3 BALL FOR SH*T. You would think after like 50+ games of doing the same double teamming crap and not covering the three ball, EJ would learn, Unfortunately that is too much to ask of EJ. If theres one person to blame for this loss, its EJ and his dumb doubleteamming antics, and his use of the trap defense 90% of the time. Please do us all a favor and fire yourself EJ, you suck.

Don't blahme Jordan. Maybe if we could guard against penetration there wouldn't be wide open guys to kick a 3 out to.

If it were up to me, id rather let them penetrate and miss lay ups rather than cover them when they penetrate and let them kick it out for an easy three.

They wouldn't miss lay ups because Ruffin, Haywood, or Brown would come in late and it would end up being a 3 point play.

Hey, 3 points no matter what. I guess it's pick your poison. :puke:

I'd rather have them earn the three than just stand put and throw up Wide open 3's all day.

Granted, tonight was just a bad game all around, especially for Brown. But, at what point do you finally admit that Brown will be nothing more than a marginal player.

I've been rooting for him ever since he was drafted but for a 4th year player, he still doesn't have a consistent move or short/mid-range jump shot. I was watching Kurt Thomas hit jumpshot after jumpshot and began to wonder how good this Wiz team could be with a big man capable of hitting a 15-footer off of the pick-and-roll.

I don't know, like I said, maybe it was just a bad night all around. But, at some point, Brown needs to grow up and show some consistency. Let's just say, at this point, he's a lot more LaRue Martin than Tim Duncan.

Bugs- There is absolutely nothing good about losing to Golden State and New York (and let's face it- we barely survived Charlotte) and this is a tough time. It's like the NBA has "figured out" the Wizards.

But like I said. 9 guys dressed tonight. We should get better as we get healthier. I think we also saw why AJ is a necessary component. Defenses have to respect him and tonight they had plenty of time to bother our guards.

EJ isnt going anywhere right now.
EG is in charge. If he needs replaced, he will do it but its not happening this year and probably not next year.

If needed, it will happen the year after that.

Positive: Larry Hughes is incredible and the team at full strength will have 3 All-Stars, a legit inside presence (Haywood),and two good perimeter players (Dixon and Hayes).

Um, we probably would've hung a lot closer had Brendan not been in foul trouble early?
