Anyone have a extra ticket?

I just bought two tickets to the season opener for 65 bucks a pop in the 500 section. I'm such a sucker. I got tickets in a similar section for the 2nd home game for 19 a ticket. But, I guess a new franchise home opener only happens once in a lifetime (Unless you live in Oakland/LA).

there are still tickets about 40-50 bucs in sections 500 and up on stubhub

Oakland/LA? Are thinking football? The Dodgers and A's have been in place for years.

Yes, I wasn't speaking specifically about baseball, only about a franchise's first home game. In addition, it was a joke. You know, haha, funny. At least it was supposed to be:(

I jumped the gun and paid a lot more than 60 bucks (although my seats are pretty good). But I don't regret it one bit. I can't wait for the opener.

I have tickets to almost 20 games so far....and YES the home opener is one of them. (section 500 something - Bob Ueckers seats).

I did go to Philly for the official opening day...its was great.

I wouldnt miss this game for anything.

I'm there too, directly behind home plate but in the nose bleeds.

I got the 20 game pass.

Has anyone heard about pre-game festivities/tailgating? I have yet to see any public info. concerning this. But there better be a bad ass fireworks display and intro before they take the field, or I will really be disappointed.

Oh, and finally got my tickets in the mail!!!!

dont worry about that....as long as they have the barcode your good to go.

I had those exact same tickets before for the preseason game vs. the Mets and the guys said tons of people do that (bring in the e-tickets/printout version)....i was nervous too until he said a lot of people are doing it now like that.

They scan the barcode and your good to go....it just sucks that you wont have a souveneir ticket stub i guess.

I'm thinking about scalping a ticket. I don't want to pay $50 for an $8 dollar seat.

I really want to go, but if I can't find something in my budget....I can't make it.

It's finally back: Washington baseball. The Nationals take on the Arizona Diamondbacks in the sold-out Inaugural Game. Fans will receive a commemorative medallion, compliments of PNC Bank.

My Uncle called me up on Sunday and let me know that he has an extra ticket...I'm psyched that I'll be there for the home opener....awesome...I'll try and be there for the opening of the new stadium too...

I won't be able to make the game, but I plan on going to many this summer.

How awesome will it be to walk back into RFK?

I get chills just thinking about walking into that stadium, with all the great memories of Skins games.

Even though the stadium probably isn't the most picturesque, I bet there's still a lot of magic there.

Baseball's back in DC today!!!

Have fun, y'all.

It stinks...

The gates open at 4, and I can't leave work until 4:(

You guys have no idea how this pains me to not be there. I was going to fly back for the game but things didn't work out. I was there with my Dad for Opening Day in 1971 and the fact that it won't be on national TV just drives the nail deeper. Enjoy this historical moment and have a beer or three for me.

T-minus 3 hours until I'm heading to RFK. Got my jersey in a duffle, a 6-pack waiting on ice, and loving life. Sorry you couldn't make it Jimbo, I'll drink three for you and three for your Pops. How's that sound?

I'll be there tailgating Redskins style this afternoon. Hope to be there by around 4 o'clock. Just haven't decided yet if we will park in lots 1, 2, or 3, or in lot 8. I think we'll be hassled less in lot 8 for grilling.

Anyway, I have a 41 game plan and will be selling tickets to many games. I'll make extras available here if anyone is interested. I'll take some pictures tonight so you can see the view.

Jimbo, sorry you can't be there. I also cannot understand how the game is not on nationaly. ESPN is scheduled to show the Sox vs. Yankees tonight. I realize that's a heated rivalry, but, this is the first game in DC in 34 years. When was the last time the Sox played the Yanks? Let me see... when was that...oh, yeah: Last Night.

Thanks guys! Wish I was there with you. I have my sister taping it for me so at least I'll be able to see it eventually. I'll be watching just in case, for some strange reason, ESPN changes their minds and shows it.

Leaving in 2.5 hours. I think I am going to throw my new Nationals jacket on over my suit for the rest of the day and wear it around the office until I leave.

Are they planning on cracking down on tailgating? PM me your seat location and availability when the Dodgers come to town., Then I can watch both my favorite teams.

Oh Yeah...

I bet the mascot is a Bald Eagle.

They had the mascot in an egg waiting to hatch on family day Sunday. Hatch? National? Gotta be an eagle...

F ESPN
F Direct TV baseball package
F Peter Angelos (he is behind this not being televised nationally)
The Nationals are on the front page of the USA TODAY and ESPN.com and I just bought MLB.com TV on the internet just to see it on a 3inch by 3inch screen.
