They have just fallen out of it.
Cleveland is just hanging on. We knocked them to 8th.

Just goes to show you, if you're in the middle of the playoff race, why the f*ck would you fire your coach? If you've completely fallen out of the race, or if there is some kind of serious problem with the coach, that would at least be a little more understandable. Orlando was the worst team in the league last year, then all year they're hanging around the 6-8 spots in the playoffs, then they fire their coach and are very impressively plummetting the standings!! Same thing with Cleveland, and I think NJ is going to get that last spot. Karma is a b1tch, and both teams deserve it for being idiots. Wait till the end of the season to get rid of the coach. I would be surprised if either of their GMs has a job much later than about a week after the season ends.

Agreed.
That why, no matter how frustrated I was with EJ at any given time, I always said, he gets at least till the end of this year and if he doesnt do something really terrible, he gets till at least mid next year.
Once we are mid next year, well have enough data on him to decide a longer term commitment.
If he keeps showing progress, its his job to loss.
I love that he is being more vocal finally and calling out the refs which is bring attention to the inconsistant calls. What is that 3 Ts and a ejection in 3 games ?
If we are going to have Gil and Hughes both here, he needs to get them to understand, one has to be playing PG while the other is hot or else we have no low post game whch I think we need. Im still not in love with this offense. We have no pick and roll play and everyone in the league is killing us with it. And our defense has sucked.
These are the 3 things I want to see him get worked out. If he does, he can stay for 10 years but I will continue to think we are under performing until we get these things worked out and I will continue to see that as a coaching issue until I see at least a court time commitment to them attempting to change these things.
