Recently, I've noticed that guys like Kwame, Etan, and Brendan have beem getting excellent position in the post. Usually the gaurd isn't looking or drives the basket for a nice layup and-1.

I would like to see a set play that involves Kwame or whoever getting position and the passer giving him the ball with room to operate. Usually when we feed the post the spacing is way too close and the defender gaurding the passer literally turns around and double teams. Adding to the fact that most of our post passes are lobs, double teaming/rotating to the ball is a breeze.

I think our continued success in a slowed down game is going to depend on our ability to get some plays for Kwame etc. Even when the gaurds drive, they have to be aware of big guys for the dish and easy slam.

Also for the Kwame, Etan and Brendan, they have to be ready for the pass  and be decisive with the ball. They should be thinking power moves all the way when they are 2-3 feet from the basket.

Honestly, Gil's a descent point guard but not a great one like Kidd, nash and osme of the others. But if he were, the big guys would get better passes and probably be a little more effective then what they are now. Not knocking Gil, but he's just not a pure point guard that can distribute the ball like some others.

Also, that's why we sometimes wonder whats the deal with our big men. But granted, our big guys do have their flaws. But with a better point guard the big men would probably serve better than what they are now.

That's why alot of other teams IMO seem to get better production from thei big men than ther wiz do. They IMO have better PG's that can distribute the ball. But in order for Gil to be a better passer he has to think too much and then limits his scoring. Good point guards make the entire team better. Not saying that Gil don't just not like some of the better ones.

I have thought many times that Gilbair and Larry Huge should trade positions. As for our big men? They are our achilles' heel going into the playoffs. Haywood is the best ball-handler and he's not great.
