You know what, I really shouldn't talk, as I still haven't seen Dog Day Afternoon, or Full Metal Jacket for that matter.

I don't think you're being a *****. I took offense to this as I do when people constantly say "so and so raped me in this" when referring to things that have to do with competition or a failed test etc etc... Perhaps people who joke about it should seriously consider how women who have been raped feel about comments such as these. Maybe then they will realize how inconsiderate these comments truly are. Zoony, I know you didn't mean it in a serious way, but I just find it to be callous and inappropriate. There are other ways to express a great dislike for things (waking up being cold and stubbing toes- and I usually end up running into walls as well) than comparing it to a serious issue such as rape. And Ion, I really don't think that's funny. I'm sure there are plenty of girls who like anal...when they consent to it. Not asking for an apology, or accusing any of you for being okay with rape, because I know none of you think it's acceptable, and I'm not trying to say that AT ALL, so don't think I am attacking you for that. I'm just asking people to try and be a bit more considerate.
Thanks for the doggie wishes. Maybe you should try calling her mom? Although part of the reason she may not be responding is because you're not supposed to have phones on in the hospital...not a sermon, just a thought.[COLOR="Gold"]
Speaking of that...Daniel Tosh got himself into quite a jam talking about rape
I haven't seen Star Wars either...
The Godfather either....
:whoknows:
I also have only seen maybe one episode of Seinfeld all the way through (Sticksboi in 3...2...1)
Looking back on it, I was careless in responding to ion's post. I was actually thinking along the lines of consensual, and I wasn't even thinking of women when I made that remark. I have used it in a different context when joking around with friends outside of this site, but I don't think I've ever used it that way here, and I am aware of the trauma that something like that can cause. My bad.
Yeah I've seen that part, but not the whole movie
After the :tk:, I'd go with...

Then ban his spirit in the afterlife
It's funny though, those two movies were so big that I can get references if people joke about them (Cantina Band, Death Star, The Force, Chewy, The Droids, My precious, Grimley, Argron, Gandalf, Merry and Pippin, etc) but I never saw the movies. :whoknows:
you have to watch star wars man. If for nothing else, Chewy's one-liners.
Speaking of Star Wars, I never understood the hate for the prequels. I mean yeah, Phantom Menace was pretty much a kids movie, but there's no way that you can hate on the fight scenes, and the pod race/Tatooine/first Darth maul fight. Ithought Attack Of The Clones and Revenge Of The Sith were good as well.
And it's not like Return Of The Jedi didn't also have it's moments. Killer Carebears, the pointless-ness of Leia being revealed to be Lukes sister. I also think Boba Fett could've died a more honorable villain-esque death. I mean they made him all badass in ESB, and then he gets knocked into the Sarlac pit in like the first five minutes of the movie?
One thing I don't get about SW, is how is Han that much of a pimp? He tried for one girl, couldn't get her until the end of three movies and almost lost her to her own brother, who did kiss her first. Not impressed.
