As someone that spend a lot of money keeping my hair as blonde as it was when I was younger I completely believe this theory!

I'd say they are thin because they adapted to rely on clothing for warmth instead of fat.

Polynesians get fat because their ancestors that survived 14 day sea voyages in a canoe were the ones with the slowest metabolisms.

Have a slower metabolism, survive the boat trip.

Have a quick metabolism, perish.


That's why so many Samoan's / Hawaiins are such large people, especially since they've been introduced to the American diet.
