To be honest, I don't know how any Skins fan could see that crowd & not be sickened. I was more naustiated by the lack of Skins fans in the seats vs the amount of Steelers fans & terrible towels I saw then I was by the loss. Listening to the sorry excuse for commentators talk about how well the Steelers travel with their fans & how this is like a home game for them...:puke:
I was not proud that day.
Nah, CSA.......even with the number of Skins fans who are apparently selling their seats on a regular basis, the Cowboys game is probably the one they'll keep...or, if they don't, the one that Skins fans will bid the same amount as Cowboys fans will, due to the rivalry.
I expect to see a good number of Cowboys fans, but not nearly as the number of Steeler fans we saw last Monday.
The Steelers, from what I've seen, has the best fans in the NFL. Not just because of their passion for the team, but for their willingness to travel with the team. 'Skins fans should take a few cues from Pittsburgh Steelers fans. They're loyal and they're LOUD!
just about all those steeler fans at the game didnt travel from pittsburgh they lived probally with in an hour drive or 2 drive from fedex, they guy behind me born and raised in the burgh moved b/c their economy sucks and lived in richmond for like 20 years. its not that they travel its just that they live everywere. When espn.com did the fan rankings they said only the steelers and packers fans travel more than skins fans
Thanks superfakefanz.
Away games are rough
Ditto on this.
And, again, to all fans who complain about "how it looked it on TV" - you're part of the problem. You needed to be at the game. Please stop complaining, you don't have a leg to stand on.
For those who caught the Jim Zorn coach's show - funny when they asked Jim what he thought of all the Steelers fans in the crowd, and Sonny starts singing "Stubhub" half-under his breath but still easily heard in the mic, haha.
That was absolutely disgusting. They were in the bottom section (the first 15 rows) all the way around the stadium. In all my years of being a Redskin fan, I've never seen that happen before. You never and I mean never, saw such a disgraceful thing like that at RFK Stadium. Not even in preseason games.
I guess we aren't the best fans in the NFL when our season ticket holders sell to anybody with a buck. Those people should be ashamed of themselves. Hell, I feel ashamed.
I guarantee, you'll never see that happen in Philthy, NY or dall ASS...
Sure didn't see any of those towels waving after yesterdays game unless they all left them at Fedex.
I'd like to add that I'm a season ticket holder, representing my 81 year old father whose name is still on our 4 upper level tickets. Me and 3 buddies pay for our seats every year. And we go to every game we can. I brought one of my best friends (eagles fan cuz his dad was from Philly) to an Eagles game last year and required that he not wear green in the stadium.
As for the Monday night atrocity... we as Skins fans can only chalk it up. We have 7 more games to concentrate on. I hope our fanbase is embarrassed. We should be.
I skipped two graduate classes here at VCU to make the MNF game. I made it from Richmond at 5:15 p.m. to FedExField at 8:15 p.m.(fighting rush hour traffic the whole way) and didn't miss kickoff! I wish some of our other season ticket holders would show as much dedication.
I was pissed off, not just at the sheer number of Steelers fans, but at the teams effort. All in all it was a terrible night for Redskins football.
But that doesn't stop me! See you at the Dallas game
David - row 7, section 418
Short of shrinking the stadium by 20,000 seats, there is nothing anyone can do about this. So, all of this is stilly talk.
