Re: 2011-2012 College Bowl Season Thread
Ah, the crappy part of college football. 34 exhibitions (actually 35 this time). Non BCS bowl, Houston-PSU could be intriguing, and I wanna see Kellen's last game.
EDIT: Apparently the BCS is so crappy this year that it's actually infected the other thread :ols::ols::ols:
Re: 2011-2012 College Bowl Season Thread
I know the BCS is chaotic but I've never seen it literally make a thread crash.:ols:
Re: 2011-2012 College Bowl Season Thread
Damn, we're making the thread crash now. What's next :ols: The thread really crashing when Tyrann Mathaieu wins the Heisman.

Re: 2011-2012 College Bowl Season Thread
Anyone else think it's strange and unusual that there are NO New Years Day games?

Probably because the TV networks didn't want college football going head to head against the NFL.
Re: 2011-2012 College Bowl Season Thread
Maybe next year we should do a weekly college football thread instead of one long ass one.
Re: 2011-2012 College Bowl Season Thread
We did that last year
Just consolidate all discussion into one thread

A few predictions:
SUGAR BOWL: Michigan 31, VT 24
ORANGE BOWL: Clemson 41, WVU 35
FIESTA BOWL: Oklahoma State 49, Stanford 28
ROSE BOWL: Oregon 28, Wisconsin 24
BCS CHAMPIONSHIP: Alabama 17, LSU 10

Those look like pretty solid predictions. Can't really disagree too much with any of them. However, I do think Oregon's speed could end up making that one a laugher. Much like the Oregon-Stanford game earlier. But, we'll see.

They're just exploiting a system that says, "Hey, why don't you take that pillowy-soft schedule, relax for a week in New Orleans, and then have a bunch of hand grenades and gumbo on us." I can't be mad at Michigan, either, since they get to go to a real bowl game for the first time since returning from relegation to D-2 football. (Again, welcome back, Michigan.) Is it going to be watchable? Begrudgingly, yes, since any game with Denard Robinson is by definition watchable, and because VT's Logan Thomas running downfield is like watching a hippo trash a Gymboree, with racks flying everywhere and children screaming. It's not the matchup either team deserved, but it doesn't mean this won't be interesting to watch.
YOUR STUPID NON-COLLEGE-FOOTBALL-WATCHING RELATIVE SAYS: "Why is Mike Golic coaching Michigan? Is it like a guest thing? I think you should read The Secret. It really helped me work through my sugar issues and my divorce and stuff."

You think that's Sugar :ols:
Tris good read. I have to go through it all.
