Also, I would be starting Richardson, even if he only gets 15 touches over Rodgers.
True thanks. I read that Quizz will get a lot of touches this season, and I kinda liked the fact that he's returning kicks as well. But I suppose I should always just start my best players no matter what

I'd rethink this. Not to dump on GHH's advice, but Benson is going to run into a brick wall in all likelihood. 49er's LB's are insanely good. I have Benson too, but am sitting him for exactly that reason.

Somehow, someway, I've managed to avoid FF all this time. And wouldn't you know it, just like waiting for buses, after all that wait, I'm now in two leagues this year. Both Yahoo PPR. One an ES league. One a league run by one of our members.
So my teams going into Week One for y'all to dissect and critique the newbie:
ES PPR League.
QB. Matt Schaub. Houston.
WR. Calvin Johnson. Detroit.
WR. Reggie Wayne. Indianapolis.
RB. Ray Rice. Baltimore.
RB. Darren Sproles. New Orleans.
TE. Jason Witten. Dallas. (That gamble back-fired already darn it!).
Flex: WR/RB. Kendall Wright. Tennessee.
K. Matt Bryant. Atlanta.
D. Baltimore Ravens.
Bench guys.
QB. Matt Ryan. Atlanta.
WR. Nate Washington. Tennessee.
RB. Evan Royster. Washington.
TE. Brent Celek. Philadelphia.
K. Adam Vinatieri. Indianapolis.
D. New York Giants.
The flex guy is subject to change for Sunday.
You need to switch Schaub and Ryan. Not only is Ryan significantly better—he's easily the most likely candidate to be 2012's Matt Stafford, while Schaub isn't even a starting quarterback in most 12-team leagues—but Houston's going to curb stomp the Dolphins and the entire second half of that game is gonna be the Foster & Tate Show. The Chiefs will probably stay in it and make Atlanta keep throwing the ball.

Personally I'd play Richardson. All reports say his knee is healthy, he took contact in his practice reps on Thursday, and the Browns say he's starting. But if you're committed to playing it safe, I'd much rather start Benson than Rodgers. Nobody knows how much Atlanta plans to use Rodgers, and you can't roll with statements from coaches with that sort of thing. He might get as many touches as Turner, and he might barely see more action than he did in a typical game last year. Benson's the unquestioned starter in Green Bay, and while they're still gonna pass a lot more than they're gonna throw, he's gonna get his carries and he's gonna be the man when they run near the goal line.

Olsen. Gresham's playing Baltimore this week, Olsen's playing Tampa.

With most offenses, I'd agree. Starting a running back against San Fran's defense is a nightmare. But with Green Bay, Benson's never going to see eight in the box, and, hell, he won't even see seven all the time. The Niners' defense make it a close call, but I'd still roll with Benson.
Re: 2012 Fantasy Football Thread
D. Williams vs Tampa or Turner at KC? PPR
Re: 2012 Fantasy Football Thread
Need a flex in non-ppr.
Garcon vs. Eric Decker vs. Donald Brown
Re: 2012 Fantasy Football Thread
Dilemna;
Arian Foster is listed as questionable right now with some sort of ailment. If he doesn't start, I'm putting Ben Tate in.
But even if Foster does play, would Ben Tate be a better play than Willis McGahee?

Good point and that is the sole reason why I traded for Benson (benefiting from Rodgers passing attack)
I'm going with Hillis instead but Benson looks primed for a big year...
Re: 2012 Fantasy Football Thread
I got Foster too, if he doesn't play I'll have to either play Michael Turner or add another WR to my flex spot (Pierre Garcon or Desean Jackson)

Hubbs man. I've had him in, had him out, had him in then had him out again as I deliberate what the best match-up is tomorrow. :(
Hail.

Go with the Ryan vs the Chiefs. Schaub will be handing the ball off a lot once they get up on the Phins. If you're in doubt consult the sit/start rankings at ff toolbox. Lots of good info on that site.

Re: 2012 Fantasy Football Thread
Should I bench Reggie Bush in favor of Heyward Bey?
Edit: FWIW, I'm also starting Houston's defense.
Re: 2012 Fantasy Football Thread
Need help with my Flex in two leagues.
Lance Moore, Denarius Moore, or Cedric Benson?
Pierre Garcon, Rashad Jennings, or Jonathan Stewart
Re: 2012 Fantasy Football Thread
Steven Jackson, Pierre Garcon, or Doug Martin as a flex?
Stevan Ridley or Toby Gerhart?
Pick 2: DeAngelo Williams, Doug Martin, Rashad Jennings
Pick 2: Michael Turner, Doug Martin, DeAngelo Williams
Justin Blackmon or Santana Moss?

Lance Moore in the first one.
For the second one, if its a PPR, go with Pierre Garcon. If not, I would say go with Jennings
