As should the ref for even calling the foul on Howard.

So Bynum is "shutting it down" for the season and having surgery on both knees.
Re: ***2012-13 NBA THREAD!!! New Season/New Thread - LET'S GO!!!!!***
Lebron just punked Jason Terry on a massive dunk lol

Lebron is at a point in his career where he's establishing his legacy. Its like that with all of the greats of their respective eras. He's so good, that its not even about who's the best right now, but where do we place him among the all time greats. Or to be more specific "Where in the top 10"?

Jesus man, Terry got put in a body bag!! sheesh!!!!
Re: ***2012-13 NBA THREAD!!! New Season/New Thread - LET'S GO!!!!!***
I think everybody (me included) can now put the "LeBron isn't clutch" talk to rest. He's a different player now.

So the 76ers traded Andre Iguodala for the opportunity to play a center that never played a single game. Awesome trade.

I thought that talk in last years post season. This season is about Lebron's position among the all time greats not about shutting the haters up.

What's up with these guards going up agaisnt the high flyers, Knight then Terry. Anybody see JaVale McGee do Dwight's superman in the game over Jokim?

Same thing I was thinking. Like the Deandre Jordan dunk, the 6'8 Lebron dunked over the 6'2 Jason Terry. It looked beautiful, but wasn't really that impressive. Hell, I respect both Terry and Knight for at least attempting to play defense. Terry did what he could to stop ball on the fast break :ols: Still both monster dunks though.
Yeah Javele had one of those Blake Griffin "throw in dunks" about 10 feet from the rim over Joakim, and it should've been an "and 1" as Noah pushed him. Look at how high Javele is in the freeze frame of the youtube vid. Yikes.

Not only that but they also gave up Nikola Vucevic too. A 22 year old true 7 footer with strength that has a good mid range jumper and inside scoring game that can rebound and is currently averaging 12.4 RPG, 11.5 RPG, and shooting .525 from the field. 17.3 PER, good for a second year player.
They'd be so much better right now just with him instead of Bynum. They gave up Mo Harkless too, but he's a rookie who hasn't gotten a lot of PT so it's hard to gauge what value he represented.
The trade was an utter disaster for them and they're sunk if Bynum doesn't stay and get healthy next season. This is a cautionary tale not to trade for injured star players going into the final year of their contract. They ended up paying well over full price for Bynum. Right now they gave up half the core of their team for nothing.
