You guys are essenially making the "she asked for it" argument here. Just because looks play heavily into being part of a sideline reporter's job, and the female reporters undergo hair and makeup routines, and they wear tight jeans does not mean it's acceptable to make unprofessional comments.
If you're talking about a prostitiute, or a stripper, or even a Vegas cocktail waitress, I can see your argument. But these female reporters are not out there to display their sexuality, they are there to make a name for themselves as a legit sports reporter to further their career in this male-dominated trade.
While this comment wasn't appropriate in a professional setting, it's not overboard outrageous. Regardless, those types of comments to female reporters are inappropriate and it's very difficult to honestly argue otherwise...

I'm nt making the argument that she asked for it.
They're eye candy. They"re also there to try and attract female fans, because marketers think they'll relate to them.
But they're not 'reporters".. and if they are, they're terrible at their jobs.
they don't run down stories, they don't dig up dirt,, you never hear a 'story' out of hem that hey spent all week working on.. they stand there and rehash old info for pregame, get a pointless quote at halftime, and after the game get more pointless quotes by guys who just finished playing a football game literally seconds before.
They do their quickie little sideline interviews with fluffy softball nothing questions, and it makes fans feel as if they've been given a bit of insight. (Unless you actually listen to them,, then you realize that they and their subjects say nothing at all. 'w're gonna play hard and try to not maike mistakes".. Hot damn! A scoop! Player X wants to play well tonight, and not make mistakes! )
No one put a dollar in her panties. A person called her gorgeous.
It's not a federal crime, nor is it a majorly offensive act, especially to a person who's job description is to look cute and perky while repeating old news or filling up 40 seconds of talk with no news..

I don't see anyone arguing that this is a federal crime, or even anything more than a mildly inappropriate comment...
