By the time you're my age and talked football for 50 years, you have eaten an entire aviary. :)

Great game called by Haz. Had Tony Ohno confused for the better part of the night.
As for Hall? Not surprised at all. Been telling you folks he's a damn good corner. Played arguably his best game as a Redskin tonight.
The secondary had their best game of the year easily and both Hall and Wilson looked like shutdown corners. Also.Romo cam through as usual as well.
Hail To The Redskins!
Haz...I've called you every name in the book but good **** tonight
D-Hall...I've always had your back and tonight you beasted my dude
I think Wilson has a great game. If he keep this up, we can just fix the safety. The guy seems to come up big when we need it. I would give him a small ball game...
Hall played lights out. That was his beast game of the year. Haslett was the man preparing for this game. Everyone knows that Romo is a choker so why not blitz his *** every snap? lol
D. Hall owned Dez tonight. The most impressive part is that he did it all on man to man coverage. Way to step up!
I've been saying for along time that DHall is at his best as a one on one press corner. Our safeties make him look like crap when he is playing zone. If weplay this type of D throughout the playoffs we can run the NFC. Congrats to Haslett and DHall!
I'm not gonna cut Haz much slack but D Hall has gotten a lot of crap here on these boards about how much he s*cks whereas I have always considered him the best and only cover guy on this team at this point. Of course I played DB for a lot of years so my take is probably slanted... Anyway there was actually a thread about what a liability he would be... I didn't bother to post on it because it would be an exercise in "the last point in what's the use"... I have always considered D-Hall as "our" best cover guy, not saying he's the best, but so many times when he seems to be the guy that gets beat, it's really been a safefy that should have been giving coverage over the top. Now suddenly he's the guy... Well you just don't become the guy... That's a fact. I said last week that RG wouldn't be at 100 percent this week and he wasn't even close, but I was forced to read from a denzien of posters how he should drop the brace as he was 100 percent. Today was carried by Alfred Morris and D. Hall. RG won't be 100 percent next week either. RG either learns how to be completely effective from the pocket or he will have a short career. He didn't need to be terribly mobile today to be effective, yet from a QB passing standpoint he wasn't. Whether that's do to the scheme or his limitations I cannot say, but this isn't going to cut it for a decade. I love RG as much as anyone, but I'm not gonna ignore that running backs run the ball and QB's are supposed to throw the ball. RG can continue this kind of play for a short amount of X years, but if he doesn't master dismantling teams with his eyes and his arms and then tearing their hearts out with his legs every so often, then his career will follow in the vein of Michael Vick. It can't go any other route sadly to say. This game is too fast and too violent to have your key player taking brutal shots that they are not built for. Hate on me all you want. I don't care, I didn't invent the rules, I'm just not going to ignore them.
Big UP to Reed Doughty for the tackle that took out DeMarco Murray and the fullback simultaneously. Awesome play
First I want to give all praise due to Haslett for the game tonight. I've been as big a critic as anyone else but wow did he bring it and trust guys to make plays. If he could do this REGULARLY (not expecting perfection but just trusting the team to make dem plays) then I would be for keeping him.
But to address moondog's post, I think you fail to see how similar the 2005 team is to this year's team. For one, we are relying heavily on a a running back that is just BEASTING right now, though I think Alfred won't wear down. We are a touch healthier on the line right now but we had some injuries that year too. The biggest thing is that Brunell would have been fine that yhear in the playoffs but his knee got hit vs. the Giants and he was never the same the rest of the year. Griffin is better than Brunell was in diminished capacity but it's a similar situation.
Keep in mind that if Carlos holds onto the ____ ball we beat Seattle even with a gimpy Mark Brunell and I think we have a real shot at getting the Super Bowl. Our defense was arguably better then too.
That said, there's a feel about this team and we are not decimated by injuries and Griffin is getting healthier as opposed to just walking wounded out there and we get a HOME GAME. The only reason I think we didn't advance in 2005/2007 is because we were playing Seattle in Seattle. You just can't expect to win there unless you're outclassing them significantly.
I was pretty ticked off at the 3 man rush call on the Witten td, but that aside... Holy cow. Haz never let up the pressure and the dbs worked almost perfectly with the blitz.
How about Crawford tonight too (along with those already mentioned)? I know he got beat for 6 and 2, but his coverage was tight all game. Had the pick and the big pass defense on third down. Hall and Wilson were both very impressive.
