I know ... that is why this thread is kind of pointless.
In fact, the board is getting way to flooded with too many threads about FedEx Field and with the "we get no respect" rant.

The reaction is what escalated it? I'd say if the hat was never thrown, there wouldn't be a reaction. Whoever threw that hat isn't someone I am proud of having represent our franchise.
Re: Sucker Punched at FedEx Field
I had some dude puke all over two seats directly in front of me. I used the text line and got no response after several dozen texts.

There is no way events unfolded as described in the blog.
Totally agree with you, Popeman. Especially in Section 125! But that's what blogs are for: giving a totally biased, one-sided view of something! :)

I can't really fully judge the situation because I wasn't there, and maybe I'm giving the Redskins fan the benefit of the doubt. But who's to know whether the hat throw was a challenge to throw fists? Or just late-game heckling of an opposing fan?
The reaction sounds like it was with the intent of starting a fight.
Again, I'm looking through BnG glasses.
Re: Sucker Punched at FedEx Field
Strong possibility that he was inebriated and slurring his words and that why he had a hard time getting people to take him seriously. They could see he was punched in the face, but likely assumed he was not a completely innocent bystander
Re: Sucker Punched at FedEx Field
I'm sorry if this comes off harsh or cold. I'm less than inclined to believe he was actually a Redskins fan.
No chance anyone gives it an entire read if it's a Pukes fan.

That is very odd, they are normally very responsive. Unfortunately the cell networks are going to be overloaded anywhere you have 70,000 plus people unless you have 4G.
In the future, make sure you are texting "SKINS" followed by your problem and location to 69050 and keep sending it over and over until you receive a response!

Exactly... the whole tone of his article makes it feel like he was just out for a stroll in the park and was viciously attacked. I call BS.

I'm with you. He's holding something back... either his behavior or his team.

I think that if you throw someones hat, or threaten/antagonize/provoke someone in any way, in any circumstance, you should expect someone to respond to it. Not everyone is going to just going to walk away from it .
Without knowing all of the details that may or may not have been discovered, I'd place just as much blame on the guy that started it, without caring if he's a Redskins fan or not.

I punched a baby when Al Mo fumbled against the Gnats on MNF.

The entire FedExField staff is aggressively opposed to this kind of behavior, and will do everything they can to stop it once they learn of it. The attendants are all versed on how to respond to fights, or
any behavior that dilutes another fan's enjoyment of the game.
A text to SKINS at 69050 followed by a section and row will bring Stadium security quickly - usually within a minute or two. You can also call 301 276-6100, but it's difficult to be heard with the crowd noise. Problem fans will be escorted out of the Stadium. If more serious charges are warranted, they'll be placed in a holding cell until after the game, and then process for arrest by the PG County police after the game.
This text info - SKINS 69050 - is displayed in all four corners of the stadium between the two suite levels. It can be seen from almost anywhere in the bowl.
EDITED to remove my POV (Because Mark is THE MAN and said everything that needed to be said!):notworthy
So you're saying if someone threw your hat away when you did nothing to provoke them, you would just pick it up and do nothing? I'm pretty sure 80% of men on this forum wouldn't handle it like that.

I would say higher than 80%. Especially considering most would be drunk
Re: Sucker Punched at FedEx Field
Something is not adding up. The guy is in Row 5 in section 125. There should have been an attendant at the bottom of his section that would have seen something going on. The attendants all have a buzzer with 3 or 4 buttons on it (Security is one of them). On top of that, in the Lower Bowl, PG's finest are all over the place. I cant go to the bathroom to piss without running nito atleast 1 of them.
To me, this doesnt add up at all. I am sure that something happened, but I dont believe that it happened this way.

You have some cajones my friend!
I know if I was sitting in Jerryworld, the Linc, etc. with my Skins gear on and someone tossed my hat, I would calmly retrieve it and try to bring as little attention on myself as possible. Perhaps report the guy to stadium security. NO WAY do I start screaming at the guy to fight me to fight me in the parking lot like the author's friend did. I reckon that would be a good way to get my ass kicked.

Yessir, and perhaps report them to stadium security. Again, starting a fight against an entire section in an NFL stadium wearing the opposing team's jersey is a surefire way to get your ass kicked.
Who are the Cops going to arrest if they get involved? The 100 fans wearing the home team's jersey or the obnoxious boor wearing the opposing jersey that sticks out like a sore thumb?
