1. No crap, we 'd be happy if we won...
2. Some of us said during the first half he should be taken out so unless you had a hidden cam on all of us proving when we said enough is enough...
3. There is no way that if we had won and RGIII had say, torn his ACL, that everyone would be happy.

Also did everyone see that play where Garçon beat Browner by like 25 yards, but RGIII wasn't looking to that side....dude was jus off today. I'm mostly upset at Shanahan, but RGIII should have been thoughtful enough to excuse himself from the game knowing he couldn't be effective.
Please forgive me God, but maybe RG3 has some things to work on. He has plenty of work to do. We'll be back.
Re: Shanahan Decision Not to Take Out RGIII
It annoys me to hear all this claiming about hindsight. MANY of us wanted him pulled from the game way earlier. I was with my mom at the game and we were saying he should be pulled. He was limping and couldn't throw.
I'm not saying we would have won necessarily with kirk. Maybe he comes in and totally stinks. The point is rg3 couldn't play properly. What is the point of leaving a guy in who can't run OR throw well. Minnesota didn't start ponder when he couldn't go. Cousins at least could throw when rg3 made it obvious he couldn't. On the deep throw that was short it was obvious he couldn't plant properly.
I was VERY disappointed in this decision to keep rg3 in. In rg3 for not realizing he was hurting the team, and also for shannahan for not knowing when to tell his star that as much as he loves him that he needs to sit

That doesn't mean he couldn't have done enough at 14-13 to win the game.
It is a COMPLETELY different game at 14-13 in the 3rd quarter than 24-14 at the end of the 4th.
Nobody on the offense was in sync (including Kyele) so I'm sorry that I didn't have confidence in Kirk either.
Seattle's D made adjustments and lucked out on RGIII's re-aggravating the knee. Simple as that to me
Re: Shanahan Decision Not to Take Out RGIII
honestly, I'm more annoyed with Shanny for basically saying that Robert was 100% coming into this game when he clearly was no where close. I really thought the brace was holding him back, but you don't go down twice without contact if your knee is anywhere close to 100%. No way this is a 2-4 week injury and in week 4 stuff like that is happening. Someone dropped the ball in diagnosing this injury or is flat out lying, or both.

Look, we gave it a shot and we lost. THAT'S IT. NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS. We lost today. It sucks, but stop acting like yall know better than the coach. Shanahan is the best thing to happen to DC in a long time.
Stop being a bunch of hindsight babies. Seattle deserved the win. Let's get ready for next year with 31 other teams.
Agree but I wish you change your sig. Don't wanna see him round these parts

Maybe an immobilieze RG3 is better than Kirk Cousins?
You cant deny if Cousins came in earlier and stunk it up, everyone would be asking why KC came in at all.
My whole point is, we all need to relax a little. We went further than anyone expected. It sucked to lose to THAT Seahawks team, but they took care of business. We lost to (right now) a better team. I'm just tired of people using hindsight like they should be coaches.

But we lost so it is Chicken Little. It's just regular ExtemeSkins. I'm not talking to you in particular but just addressing the regular crap on this board. Obviously Kirk Cousins would've led us to the Superbowl.
I agree, but that didn't happen. Shanhan had a decision to make. The one that he made wasn't right on two fronts possibley (i.e. RGIII might have an injury that affects his ability to play next year and we lost the game). He's going to get criticized for that and some of us aren't saying it in hindsight. This wasn't a no brainer decision based on the way that RGIII was playing.
If you can't see that, I don't know what to tell you other than don't read football message boards.
I don't think Kirk Cousin takes you to a SB either, but the SB isn't for almost another month.
I believe if we had won, we would have played Atlanat.
I've seen Atlanta play a several times this year. They can be very good, but they have plenty of games where they look mediocore. Given how our D has been playing, if we win, I'm not sitting here tonight saying we have no chance against Atlanta.
And after that who knows what happens with RGIII or the other teams in the playoffs (maybe GB beats SF, but Rodgers gets hurt at the end of the game?).

I will agree with that. He was way more hobbled than they let on but then again, we've known that for the last couple of weeks
Re: Shanahan Decision Not to Take Out RGIII
Players play. Period.
This game is win or go home.
What the hell did we draft him for if not this?

I'm not going to sit here tell that with Kirk in the game, they would have won. Or even had a good chance of wining.
But to say because he struggled when brought in 24-10 late in the 4th quarter that he would have struggled coming in up 14-13 in the 3rd is just unbelievably dumb or ignorant.

then why is Shanny saying that he is full speed and 100% in practice? He was blaming everything on the brace when clearly this wasn't the case at all. It took Robert going down without contact for us to see that there has been some serious smoke blowing over the past few weeks

This is the right answer right there. We're screwed either way.
You can say Cousins would have won it but in reality, he came in and struggled as well.
It was a bad situation and Seattle's D came through when it mattered
I agree as we'll I'm glad you quoted that lol
Re: Shanahan Decision Not to Take Out RGIII
The Vikings sat Christian Ponder completely and didn't risk his health. I had no problem starting RG3 but once he hurt the plug should have been pulled. Just not worth it. Sure if he stays in on one leg and wins the game everyone is happy but doesn't change the fact that he is injured again but by leaving him in there the rest of the game the risk of him injuring it worse skyrockets. If the Vikings can sit Ponder for the future we should have sat RG3 after he first injured it.
