I should also be pointed out that Gronk's injury is a break in a different location on the same arm. Apparently, it broke at the end of the plate in his arm (which just sounds unpleasant).

I don't know if this has been discussed in this thread yet but here is an interesting perspective from Griffin's quarterback coach at Baylor Terry Shea.
Among other things he says he's not surprised Shanhan missed Griffin's injury due to his perspective on the sidelines and it's better for him to have hurt his right knee than his left. check it out.

Glad to read this, because I felt the same way sitting in endzone dream seats for the game. I honestly didn't even know RG3 was hurt when my friend came back from a halftime break saying "people in the bathroom are saying RG3 is hurt". I was like "really?". Granted, it became more obvious later in the game, but it's not immediately apparent from field-level, and certainly not anywhere near as obvious as the TV coverage.
Yeah, just read that. Still doesn't explain why no one in the press box could have given Shanahan the message that RG3 didn't look good, since it seemed bloody obvious to everyone else in the stadium that he wasn't right.
Course, the other thing that should have tipped him off was the 25 yards of passing in two quarters. Given what happened, shouldn't there have been some extra scrutiny on RG3's health.
