Halo 2 is coming out! How many of you freakin' love the original Halo? I myself am still addicted to it, even after 3 years. I have a good feeling that Halo 2 is going to be something very special!
Some stores are opening at 12:00 am midnight Tuesday to sell it, how many of you are gonna take the nerd-trek to the store like I am?

I read a review a few months back that said it was nothing more than Halo with just better graphics :whoknows:

Most of the big reviews come out today from what I understand. Xbox magazine's came out last week, ( yeah yeah I know). Reading what is in fact different from graphics, to music, to gameplay than the first one is pretty wild. Welding 2 weapons, (they can be different), at the same time sounds cool. Kicking off the Elite off his ride and then running over him definatly is a good thing. ;) You can change weapons with your ai squadmates. This I like. You can reoutfit the guys with better weapons. Now that could prove interesting since they play an even bigger roll this time out. Getting one of then to drive the Warthog while you the Master Chief get to shoot things is another. The story is supposed to be very well told with good cut scenes and a surprise ending. Music is supposed to be flat out great.
Multiplayer is where it's at though and apparently that's where alot of time and energy has been spent on the game. Clan wars are going to be big I think. What with up to 100 people allowed in each, stat tracking, bloom effects on clan decals and bungie providing a forum for all kinds of smack talking. Video geek style.
Looking forward to what some of the other reviews say. Not that I care. It's mine on the 9th.

I dont have enough money to get it tuesday.:( Plus I can only get a few games this holliday season and im stuck between Halo 2, GTA: San Andreas, and Metroid Prime 2:doh:

Halo 2 will be awesome. I've been waiting for this game, since they announced they were doing a sequel. If you don't own an XBox yet, now is the time to buy one. This game and the original alone are worth the price of the system.
I got a chance to try it out early. It is more fun to me than the original one. Graphics were awesome. There are some new weapons, new aliens, new vehicles, and if memory serves more battle locations. It was harder in some ways, but still it was just too cool. It sounds awesome in surround sound and I only wish the guy had had HDTV so I could have seen it in all it's glory.
I played it a couple of hours then I had to give up the controller. I'll probably wait until it comes down to $20 in the bargain bin later on. I can't justify $50 for a game.

Ha. No way man...they say that there's a canyon so big in Halo 2 that you could fit all the levels in Halo 1 inside of it. Weapons have been modified, the assault rifle will be powerful and devistating with better accuracy this time around...and how cool is dual wielding 2 of most any weapon of your choice?Quote:

The best part about Halo 2 (so I hear) is the storyline and editing. They say it has a story that will suck you in but never bore you. I hear that after most cut scenes you'll be clutching your controller in anticipation of incoming enemies.
Not to mention multiplayer. I keep hearing that Halo 2 will have the funnest multiplayer gaming ever. :cool:
GTA: San Andreas is the most superior game to come out ever imo. it has every aspect of gameplay and even has a multiplayer gimic this time which is insanely fun.
I want to get it for my husband but I have to be at work at 6:30 AM tuesday morning. Is blockbuster opening early or do you think they will have some at 11AM Tuesday my lunch break?
