Default Does anybody collect Football/Redskins cards ???

This got brought up in another thread , so I fugured i would start a Thread on this....

I collect Football cards Mainly , but I also collect a little Basketball as well ...I have only been collecting for about a year and a half, and have built up a hefty colection of Skins cards ...I trade online as well , and have got most of my Skins cards from trading with other fans of different teams online ..

I was interested in finding out how many other Skins fans collect cards as well ...Hell Maybe we can even post up some pics of your favorite cards you own ...

Here is my website that i use to trade online with ...Take a look around ...And Skins fans would enjoy some of the cards i have ...

Adds Rabach: "Bugel's incredible. He works you so hard, because he cares about his players and the Redskins so much. We'll have a good season here. I know it. I'm certain of it. This is going to be fun."

I used to collect a while ago, so I have a lot of cards from the Skins glory days which I'm thankful for.

In the 70's and early 80's I collected baseball, football, and basketball cards because my older brother collected them. I had to do everything he did. Well my brother died when I was 12 and I have since held onto the cards (his and mine). Not sure what any are worth. I recently pulled out all the skins cards and had them framed by Jim Booth (my favorite Charleston Artist) and gave them to Pez. They took two frames and seperated by defense and offense then they framed each player by position and where they line up on the field. It looks really cool. I have a whole bunch. One that comes to mind is Dave Butz.

Huly that sounds like a wonderful gift.

I collected baseball, hockey, and a little football and basketball. On the collecting front, I've always been much more into comics.

I cried when I gave it to him as they mean a lot to me being from my brother. It was a great way to remember my brother and give Pez a present.

    Great gift Huly.

I collected breifly again last year, but it has just gotten too expensive so I had to stop. I may pick up a box of Prestige again, I loved the cards last year and they are somewhat affordable.

Classics are my favorite though, but I cannot really afford it. I pulled the same Sonny auto you pulled from last year and it is my favortie Redskin card.

I've got some cards that I've aquired recently that I'm going to be selling at an auction real soon (as well as a bunch of autographed Redksins stuff) that benifits a fellow Extremeskins member's brother who is in a coma.

I will let everyone know when it happens.

i have photo albums exclusively full of skins cards - practically every major brand card from the 50's till now.... am still missing a year here and there and a few cards from specific years. trying to get the complete collection, although i doubt it will ever happen. from the 80's - so many different cards out there...have some great auto cards: john riggins, pat ramsey, sonny, andre collins, joe jacoby, charley taylor, chris hanburger, terry metcalf, earnest byner and most recently clinton portis.

yea, i'm a dork for collecting cards at age 36, but it's fun nonetheless. something i can pass along to my kids when i'm old(er).

I wouldn't call you a dork ! I'm 40 and still collect cards along with signed pictures and just about anything skins. I have a whole room of Redskins memoribilia. Heck I'm even going to a card show the next 2 weekends, there are gonna be 9 Redskins present..

Its a passion that i'm obsessed with...

I am mainly into game used cards. I have Art Monk, Gary Clark and Darrell Green rookies, and a few other former Skins. I started collecting jersey cards. I have a cool Art Monk jersey card #d to 100, as well as a swatch from the number on Stephen Davis' jersey. Now, I'm starting to collect mainly autos. I have autos of Ramsey, Betts, Jacobs, C Bailey, Chris Cooley, Jason Campbell, and Carlos Rogers. I have probably 600 Redskins cards in all.
